WOW!! You're doing great! I'm sure you're feeling great as well. Keep up the great job!!I am not sure if I am adding these pictures correctly but I thought maybe it was time to show my progress. I am disabled and have used an electric mobility device since 1994. Now a days I am able to walk with 1 cane for about 5 minutes before pain sets in. Plus I am riding a tricycle 7 miles a day. I am very pleased with all of my weight loss. The 145 pounds I lost on my own and the additional 108 I have lost since the first meeting with my surgeon and the 3 procedure surgery he did in Jan of this year.
The pictures are My highest weight 497 pounds. Last June when I first saw the surgeon 352 pound.
Day before surgery 315 which was Jan 26th
This Sunday July 10th 244. Total lost 253 pounds.

You can do it and you will make it. I suggest making healthy choices. I would limit carb intake as much as possible and try to eat healthy fats and get in the habit of eating Protein. Good luck!!

Amazing! Glad to see you're doing well. I will be a year out on the 31st and I've lost 100 pounds. I know our surgery dates were around the same time.I have just hit 103 lbs down and am about 10 1/2 months out. I feel like I have been a slow loser compared to a lot of folks but mainly because I had a 2 1/2 month stall around the 7 month mark and just started losing again. I was hoping to further down with being this close to being a year out, but I am still incredibly proud of my progress so far and beyond thankful for the opportunity to receive this tool.
Here was a face to face transformation at the 90 lb down mark:
And here is a side by side from the morning of my surgery to my 100 lb down mark wearing the same exact shirt. It's amazing how much longer the shirt looks when it isn't stretched over that tummy!

You looking amazing. To me you look like you're already in the 180's. Great job and keep it up.

It's not going to be a walk in the park but it's well worth and gets easier with time....well somewhat easier. The head hunger and desires kick back in over time. So make sure you start making healthy choices from the beginning. I have been doing combination of Whole 30 and Paleo eating/dieting for the the last month. The more I eat healthy the more I want to and crave healthy foods.
Thank you for sharing. Congrats to you on your 100lb loss! ! That's awesome! Cant beleive they removed your gall blader and fixed hernia...that's alot! I'm nervous about so many things but one of my biggest fears is getting a leak. I have heard a few horror stories. I also want to be able to get all my fluids in those first few days. Everyone says that it's hard at first but that it gets easier as time goes on. Just want to get this weight off already.Hello all! It's normal to be nervous. As long as you follow your surgeon and NUT's instructions you will be fine. July 31st is my 1 year anniversary. I've lost 100 pounds. I would like to lose another 10 pounds but I'm happy either way. I feel better and have a lot more confidence. I was out of work for 2 weeks and 3 days. I had gastric sleeve, my gallbladder removed and a hiatal hernia. The health benefits outweigh the risk. Good luck ladies.

My hospital gave me a ton of the one ounce medicine cups and told me to sip one every 10-15 minutes. I did that for the first 3-4 days but got tired of filling those little things up so started drinking out of a regular cup or bottle. It did help me from drinking too much at one time.
You will do great! Just stick with the plan and start making healthy choices from the beginning. If you see you're picking up bad habits put a stop to them before they get out of control.
Good Luck!!!

Thank you for the tips!! I'm excited and I need to lose 15 more pounds. I already love avocados. I'm going to miss my coffee Creamer and cheese.Oh yeah. I forgot to answer your questions. Yes to mint. Be careful your herbal tea is only herbs and doesn't add soy lecithin (you'd be surprised). Most of Celestial Seasoning teas are safe.

Any tips?? Starting on Monday. Do you know if you can use mint? Herbal teas? I know you can't use sweetener natural or artificial.I am 2 years out from my surgery and was no longer tracking anyway. My blood work is normal and I feel good so I don't worry about it. Plus with the whole 30 you are not tracking anything. You don't count calories or even weigh yourself. The program is focused on eating healthy whole foods and breaking bad habits.

Hey! I'm 10 months out and super pleased with success. However, I recently started experiencing difficulty when swallowing. Has anyone else experienced this?

Obviously she's uneducated about WLS and I'm sure she probably has her own struggle. Obesity is an obvious struggle, hers is hidden. WLS is far from "The Easy Way Out". It's a tool but not a miracle and it does get harder once you're able to eat anything and hunger pains kick back in. I have to daily make a conscience effort to eat healthy. I have to watch others eat all the junk they want and not gain weight.....but I'm making healthy choices and putting food that nurtures my body. Use it as a tool and ignore comments from people that are clueless. Keep you head up and good luck.
