Thank you everyone for your feedback and your advice! I tried something more solid yesterday and chewed it really good ! It stayed down!
What do you find is the best soft foods to eat at the soft food stage?
I'm struggling to find things because I don't eat eggs or tuna and on my sample meal plans there is always eggs and tuna.

Your on solid foods already? I had mine done the 7th of April and I'm still on purée still have like a week and a half on it.
Hi, was on liquids for a week, full liquids for another week and this week is soft foods.
Next week I can start normal foods.
I think maybe I did not chew my fish well enough today and it made me feel sick. So will take it a lot easier.

Thank you! I did end up throwing up and feel a lot better. Just got a little scared I guess.
I will for sure try to only eat one fpod at a time to see what I can tolerate or not.

Hi
Had my sleeve done April 11th 2015
I just started my soft foods today. Everything has been great until I tried supper. Had fish and carrots. Ate about 1 oz of my fish and hardly any carrots and now I am feeling sick. Stomach is hurting and I feel like I'm going to throw up. Is this normal for the first time you eat anything more solid than yogurt and Soup?

That's good to hear !! Iv been a little worried after reading how bad things were a few years ago ! It's a little overwhelming when you consider everyone worries about surgery, but add flying across the country, crossing into a foreign country in a town once known as the most dangerous city in the world and it's a little stressful !! Lol
Hi, no issues at all crossing into Mexico. It was quite the wait going across into Mexico, very busy place that boarder crossing. I did feel really safe the whole time. They even have a 24 hour security guard on the floor (I was on second floor). My husband came with me and he even went out to the mall across the street and did not feel unsafe at all.
That's great ! Thanks for the advice ! Any issues going through Juarez ? Did you feel safe ?
Just had my surgery with Dr Rodrigues on April 11th in Juarez. He and his team are amazing. Only thing is that the nursing staff does not speak a lot of English so if you download a translator app on your phone it makes it a lot easier to communicate. I'm only a few days post op and feeling great.I'm scheduled 4/23, anyone else going to Mexico? I'll be with Dr. Rodriguez.
Oh I know, I felt the same way. I flew in from Canada. But when you get there you will be put right at ease.
Oh and there is free wifi yay - choose starmedica and username and password is the same - medicina
Let me know how everything goes!

I found that walking helped a lot after I had mine done. I started off slow and then every two hours I increased my walking time. Good luck with everything !
