  1. Most guys envision themselves as having a tripod body shape.
  2. Keep up the great work. I don't know if I should be turned on from your avatar or have an urge to watch "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" (no offense intended, if you ever saw the beginning of the movie, you would get the reference).
  3. Since you aren't eating my wife's cooking , then maybe they should be checking (as previous posters wrote) for too much acid, acid reflux, gallbladder, etc.. Is there a pattern on when this happens (you ate food higher in fat, drank too much regular coffee, a very emotionally stressful day, etc.)? I hope they find the cause soon.
  4. This post is starting to take a turn for the worse. WHERE IS THE LOVE FOLKS? I'M NOT FEELING THE LOVE.
  5. You would probably win, but you would lose. If they found out later about the surgery, some people may be annoyed at you that you had an unfair advantage. Skip the contest and cheer on your fellow coworkers/contestants.
  6. Go lightly on the appetizers and make intelligent choices. Eat your lean Protein and veggies and very little of your starches. Eat lightly for the other 2 meals that day. No one will even notice, but if someone comments, just tell them that you have an upset stomach. They won't ask you for any more details once they hear that.
  7. Thank you for not posting any pictures.
  8. Unless he completes his 12 steps and is a changed man, you need to keep 12,000 steps away from him. He has to want to change this addictive behavior and become sober. You can be there as a friend to support him.
  9. I had the VSG performed last year and haven't regretted that decision once......except for losing over 100 pounds so far, feeling good about how I look for the first time in about 15 years, being healthier, am no longer type-2 diabetic nor have HBL or high cholesterol or low-T, have the energy to enjoy different activities, etc., etc. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery.
  10. Good for us, not so good for the bison.
  11. I observed on the weightloss ticker that collectively the members here lost 3 million pounds. For a 150 pound adult, that is equal to 20,000 people! Great work everyone!
  12. A funeral is for the death of something,. We can eat the same foods we enjoyed pre-surgery, when it is appropriate to do so, just occassionally for certain foods and for all foods, in moderation.
  13. Behemoth? I guess that means you are: Beautiful Elegant Happy Easy going Most Inspiring One of a kind Terrific Helpful That person who wrote that was an: Angry Self-centered Selfish individual
  14. It is either the online dating service that you use, or you live in California (probably the latter ).
  15. People gravitate to you because of your good looks rather than actual gravity due to your mass.
  16. That's the source of his problem.
  17. It was either let you keep them or her burning them. Congratulations on this funny NSV and your hard work.
  18. Maybe as a mid-day or mid-morning snack have some veggies then or the flip side, if you need some Protein, have a serving of nuts or some lean protein (left over chicken breast in 1 oz servings works out nicely).
  19. WLS gives restriction so we can't consume as much at a meal, not that we can never eat the foods we enjoy ever again (just eat them in moderation and not frequently). To each their own, but why add more weight to yourself that you will need to lose? Also, it is good to prepare for your post WLS lifestyle change and to stop the bad habits that got us to this point.
  20. Personally, I think laboratory rats cause cancer.
  21. I really hope you made this up, then it will be funny. But I wouldn't doubt it if someone did this. It kind of reminds me when my children were little and they tried to convince me they ate some fruit (in the form of strawberry ice cream) when I asked them "did you eat your fruit and veggies today".
  22. "I want to eat everything" -Then I guess you never tried my wife's cooking. Ba-dum-tish (rimshot sound) Just kidding.
  23. I'm from my mother's womb. I guess that went too far back in time.
  24. Congratulations on your weight loss so far. Instead of saying goodbye to foods in quantities that helped you get to the weight you presently are, how about having a pre WLS food funeral where you eat those same foods but a small portion the way you will at the appropriate time, post WLS? Those foods can still be enjoyed occasionally and in moderation after the surgery. Make it an over eating funeral, that is say goodbye to overeating by eating only a small portion.
  25. I rather have batwings (post surgery) on the green side of the lawn than not have the surgery and be on the dirt side.
