Ok! I try to avoid the Pain killers but taking a dose as we speak! To much for me to deal with!

I'm 2 days post op... Feeling the pain in my left shoulder! Wishing for it to go! And some pain in abdominal Area!

My dr allows home made smoothies on liquid diet he even gives recipes for them! I had my first one today 3 day post op

Im 3 Days post op and when I breath I have terrible pain in my left shoulder! So wishing for it to go!!!

I am on day 2 and at the hospital with good meds was wonderful, I only spent 1 night at hospital, now that I'm not in the good pain killers I'm suffering! When I breath my shoulders hurt, any thing I sip on I can feel it from the beginning to the end, going through my esophagus and sleeve. Dr prescribed liquid acetaminophen and it helps for 2 hours then have to re take! My question is when does this discomfort go away? I woke up every 2-3 hours in pain last night! Just called Dr who said to keep observing myself and that it should get better.

Hi, he charges $11200 For the sleeve , in my case $2000 more for Lapband removal. That price includes everything, surgery, anesthesia, 1 night in St. Joseph mercy Oakland hospital and post op visits. Dr Pleatman is a man of few words, but he knows what he is doing. I felt confident with him.

Got my Lapband retired and sleeved! I was very scared but all went great! Until now a smooth recovery! Taking my liquids and feeling very little pain! Got it with Dr. Mark Pleatman in Bloomfield hills ,MI. Self pay! Until now 24 hours post op the only bad feeling I've had is nausea!! Great full and happy!

I understand, I too have the Lapband and had terrible reflux problems when it was filled, my surgeon tho thinks by pass might be too much in his opinion, my reflux completely disappeared once Lapband was unfilled. Did you have the Lapband retired in the same surgery? I will and I just hope it all goes ok! Thank you for sharing!

Thank you all for sharing, my surgery is scheduled May 5th I can't believe it's happening I already have a Lapband, it has given me some problems so going in to revision to sleeve, I am panicking, Lapband surgery was much easier, I guess the fact of getting my stomach cut escalates the panic to another level. I'm praying for strength to not chicken out, my Wheight is currently out of control due to the Lapband had to be unfilled, gain 20 pounds in 5 month... Trying hard not to and working out a lot I still gained them! Reading this thread made me realize my feelings & fears are more common than what I thought, I am fearful to have a nervous breakdown this Tuesday and not follow through with the surgery, but if I do I will never forgive myself! I am finding comfort in prayers and positive thoughts! Thank you again for sharing and being supportive through your own experiences.

Why did you choose gastric by pass instead of sleeve? I'm having revision to sleeve, just curious about why you chose bypass

I'm going for my revision May 5th Lapband to sleeve! I'm scared but excited!!! Wish you the best! Hopefully we will be ok and love our sleeve, the band worked phenomenal for me until December 2014 I started developing GERD, so let's sleeve up!

My surgery is May 5th excited but sooooo nervous! Who else is scheduled for that day? No doing any pre op diet other than eating lots of protein. Having lots of food funerals, I have the Lapband so they unfilled it 5 months ago when revising to sleeve was decided, gain 20 pounds since! Nervous but ready for my sleeve!

Well I relate with your feelings I was never so scared with the band, I think the fact of knowing 80% of my stomach is going to be cut off scares me!!! With the band all kind of stats in place !
