  1. one more thing. 3 meals + 3 Protein shakes? That seems a bit much. After two weeks post op I was told to only drink a shake if I wasn't getting enough protein in by the end of the day.
  2. I too have restriction right now. I can barely get all my liquids down. I just had my 2 week appointment and the nutritionist said 1 out of every 10 people she has seen with lapband didnt't need a fill for at least their 1st 6 months. May be I will be on of those lucky ones.
  3. Sorry your having such a rough time. I guess everything you have mention is pretty normal. The only unormal thing is that your experiencing all of those symptoms. I guess the only question I have is if your hungry all the time and have no restriction couldn't you eat more or are things going down too slowly?
  4. We just added our 100th Junie today to the spread sheet.
  5. Harvest I need your Height please.
  6. You have been added. To PM just click on my name to the left there (Snuffy65). Then select "Send private messege to Snuffy65". I will Also need to know your goal weight when possible.
  7. oops, also need your goal weight as well.
  8. I created a spread sheet for people who were banded in June. Its kind of a way to keep tabs on how your doing along with others that have been banded close to same time as you were. I posted this in the June 2008 forum but see alot of new people that have been banded in June so thought I would post here as well. If you would like to be added just PM me with your: 1. Height 2. Goal Weight 3. pre-surgery weight 4. post-surgery weight 5. pre-surgery waist measurements 6. post-surgery waist measurements You can always find the updated chart here.
  9. I know us June people are all on different diets at the moment (clear, full, solids). But was wondering what everyone is planning on eating for our first holiday on the band! I am on the Full liquid diet, so will treat my self to some strained tortilla Soup and sugar free popsicles all day.
  10. 1st fill will be on Aug 4th. WEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
  11. hey armywife. I too developed a rash. Its all down my arms and around my torso. I just got me week check and staples out. they told me ot to worry about it so hopefully it will go away soon. Other then that, doing great here and looking forward to my first fill. 4 1/2 weeks away!
  12. Her own family has admitted that she all the sudden picked that accent up. Oh, funniest thing I saw on her show was when Bobby Flay was on there and made fun of her about her fake accent. I forgot what he exaclty said but the crwod just went silent when he did.
  13. Wow, alot of the people hating RR have no clue what her show is? I comments like "who has that stuff in there kitchen", "bypass patient couldn't eat what she is cooking", "she goes on and on". Most people do have the stuff in their own kitchen to cook what she's cooking. She has one of the most down to earth recipes compared to other TV cooks. Bypass patients can eat alot of her stuff. Other then the pastas she makes, she always cooking healthy with lean Proteins and good veggies. She suppose to go on and on. How many people would watch a cooking show with the cook only saying "throw a cup of sugar here". "Mix well then spread on pan". No TV cook does this. They all share stories and experiences while cooking and they all keep talking.
  14. I like RR also. Her raspy voice and far from perfect body and persona is what makes me want to wtch her. You want to talk about perky, how about Giada? I like Giada but sometimes she is in that perky "I'm perfect" mode. But anyways is RR fricken stupid? I don't think so. Was what she said dumb? Probably, but she ain't perfect and thats the way I like her. PS: My wife made me buy her pan set she uses on 30 minute meals. I have to admit those are some awsome pans.:smile2:
  15. Its been a week since my surgery and doing fine. I forgot my laptop at work so getting good Internet time in at home has been difficult. Today I updated everyone that has PM'ed me so far on the spread sheet. We have 86 people so far!!!! If there are new people or people who haven't had the time to send me your information yet please PM me. I am always available for additions and updates. Expect a 24 hour max wait time on any updates. There has been a few changes to the data since it was created. Please PM me with any data that has changed. 1st - I changed the "surgery weight" and "surgery waist" to "Pre-Surgery" weight & waist. So if you gave me your sweight at surgery time and it was more pre surgical please send me the update. 2nd - I added a "goal" weight column. Most people sent me their goal weight. If you haven't sent me your goal weight I put in there the recommended weight for your height instead. If you want it changed just messege me. So what about the numbers so far? Well I got bad news and good news. The bad news is we as a group have almost 10,000 lbs to lose for us to reach our goal:eek::eek:!!! The good news is we already lost over 1,000 lbs:thumbup::frown: Here is the link: Jazzy June Data Sheet Good luck everyone! Keep those JJ's coming in and keep losing that weight!
  16. Its because with lapband, or any other WLS you are limiting your food intake. It will be very difficult to get enough nutrients in the day when you achieve good restriction. So, when you are eating you should always make sure you are getting enough Protein first. Sure you will still lose wieght if you don;t get enough protein, however, you will also be losing lean body mass which is very bad for your metabolism and your overall health. Therefore protein is the most important nutrient for us.
  17. Thanks Little Deb and Sassy. I am a little bit nervous but hopefully that goes away soon. Leaving here in about a hour. :grouphug:
  18. Its probably the same headaches you would get if you cut 75% of your caloric intake. I would get headaches if I didn't eat anything before dinner for that day. I had them on my first 3 days of my diet. No biggie.
  19. Gratz! I can't wait to go shopping this Christmas. I will probably buy more stuff for myself, then for other people.
  20. Not sure why the doc would suggest 2200 calories a day. Even the most basic of diets require only 1800. Personally, I am shooting for 1200 calories. Most is going to come from proteins. Trying to keep my carbs unders 80G's a day. I use Calorie Counter - Free Online Diet Journal
  21. Added another bracket for goal weight! If you can PM me your goal weight. You can also weight till you have something else to update if you want. Added some more people also, and they keep rolling in!
  22. Gratz Kathy and DIZ, enjoy the resting portion! :rolleyes2:
