  1. Thank you!. I am in the middle of sending PM's ot everyone on cathychatt's lists in the other thread. I will be entering more when I get done with that. I will have to put in a "filler" for your waist then for now. But if you want you can use your pants size. I understand if you don't want to give it, however. But one last thing. You will be hitting weight lost "plateaus" throughout your journey. During these "plateaus" you won't see progress on the scale but people report you still lose your waistline. That would be a good time to check your sizes.
  2. Grats ! and welcome to Jazzy Junes!
  3. Glad to hear your OK. I sure am glad I have to stay in the hospital overnight. I think I would freak out if I had to go home and sleep unattended that first night :rolleyes2: From what I hear alot of people have a hietal hernias. Its just most people don't have surgeries to fix them because usually they don;t bother them. However, since the surgeon is working right there anyways they go ahead and fix them.
  4. Gratz on 2week anniversry Cathy. Glad your on solids now. Just FYI that restriction might go away in the next week or so. Your stomach is still mildly swollen for a few more weeks. So you will get looser. However, at least you know what some restriction is like and know that it will help you.
  5. Added 3 more, including you cathychatts. Lets keep them rolling in JJ's.
  6. Gratz Kizzie! Hope you recover soon!
  7. Hoping everyone sticks around also. Make sure you sign up for the spreadsheet tracking on my other thread. I will probably create a LBT Social group when I get back from surgery next week also. Lets keep the motivation and support going past our surgeries, it will mkae losing weight afterwards that much easier.
  8. Well, if it is Ketosis then the only "cure" for it would be ride it out o eat more carbs. I wouldn't eat more carbs though. When on atkins, I had this and it went away after 3 weeks.
  9. ME too, good luck over there!
  10. Added 4 people so far. Hope to get more of you peeps on there. Will be cool to keep track on how everyone is doing.
  11. Never heard of this before. Could it be reflux?
  12. Good Luck GhostHunter! You'll be fine.
  13. I am in the middle of the 2 week pre op diet. I got my stuff from BetterMD and consists of Soups, shakes, juice, and Jello, all in separte packets. My typical day meals goes like this: Breakfast - Mocha shake 3 hours late - Orange juice packet lunch - chocolate Shake 3 hours later - Fiber Jello or fruity fiber drink dinner - vanilla shake and chicken noodle soup packet. I get to mix all my shakes with skim milkinstead of Water. Also, can have as many as I want sugar free popsicles.
  14. I took the need for your BMI out. The chart now calculates it using the BMI calculations with your weight.
  15. I created a spread sheet for everyone to view online. It tracks your weight, waist size, and BMI before and after surgery. It will keep track of how many lbs we loss and inches around your waist. I thought it would be cool if we can track the progress of all the JJ's out there and total them up. So if you want on just click my name and private messege me the following info: 1. Weight at Surgery time 2. Waist at Surgery time 3. Current Weight 4. Current Waist 5. Finally your height. I will making revisions on the look of the chart over the next week or so. However I still can input everyone's information. Here is the rough draft! http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=p6evGubdxcy_4ky4_aiiDAg&output=html Hope to get alot of people on here so we track our group.
  16. Nice opinon. Very informative and I hope everyone takes your advice!
  17. snoho already cut and pastes the same post in pre op.
  18. Gratz on all the JJ's so far! Your all doing awsome it looks like.
  19. From what the doctor told me the foreign object like the lap band doesn't cause autoimmune diseases like Lupus. However, people with Lupus and the other immune diseases, the patient doesn't show signs of the disease, or it the disease just goes undiagnosed, till they get the band and the disease reacts to it.
  20. Sweet! Welcome to Jazzy Junes!
  21. Being banded here in Michigan on the 23rd. Best of luck! I am sure we both will do fine.
  22. Sorry, didn"t mean to be a smart ass comment. Honestly, if you think you have a "disease" looking at the scale multiple times a day then seeking professional help would be best.

Waht do you do when your "being lazy"? I use do it to. Then I noticed 50% of my lazy time was sitting watching TV. SO, I got a treadmill and put in front of the TV. I watch 1hour of my shows and get 3 miles of walking in.
  24. Go see a shrink.....
