  1. Your lucky that's all you have to see someone. The endoscopy wasn't bad at all. I've I only heard of you and maybe two others that didn't have to get one. I did all my testing early on so if it was bad I didn't go thru all the months for nothing. But still gotta have a final approval of surgery from insurance. Which I called before starting this to see what I had to do,outta pocket expense too. My cost is only $250._

  2. No need to stress. Just a heads up, don't miss any appointments related to your wls, you may have to begin the process from the beginning. Most insurance companies require a consecutive appointment history. My waiting period with my insurance is 6 months. I will be having my procedure sometime in September. My Drs office doesn't give exact date until all your appointments are finished unfortunately.

  3. Midemali, crazy question. How much in pounds do you weigh? Sounds like you are doing awesome by your bmi. You were very lucky living there and not having to wait the times we have to in the U.S. my insurance is like most here, 6 months. Very frustrating for sure. My mother got hers done immediately too due to a life threatening reason. Almost unheard of here. But the reason for her gastric bypass(hers) was a need for extra skin on her stomach because of an extremely large hernia. She had to go to another state too to have done because of her situation too. With her not going through the classes and nutritionist, she was very unaware of a lot. She was malnourished, and sick almost every meal due to not understanding the guidelines. But honestly, 3 months in most cases are all that should be the wait. That is plenty of time to learn the exercises, new ways of eating and drinking and all the other things involved.
