As of abt a week ago I hit my goal weight of 130!! I'm one happy girl!
-
Glad to hear MollyF22. Everyday gets better! My first two days were very rough too. Actually I told my Dr the pain was right up there with the 5 back surgeries I've had!
-
You're getting closer! Good luck!

No idk what UC is. What's worrying me now is I'm almost my gw and barely can eat or hold anything down still. I sure don't wanna go much smaller than 130. I look sickly at a smaller weight. But I'm sure it will be ok

You can do it! I had the 6 months too. It seems like a lifetime but passes quicker than you think. I hated the idea of waiting but I learned so much! I graduated with Tim Wheeler so I didn't go to him. He's good too I hear!

Dr Tompkins is my surgeon that did my surgery. Really pleased with my sleeve and my progress too! I was sleeved October 28th. Hw 240 Sw 202 Cw 142! Gw 130. I'm 5'3" tall

I've been really lucky it's came off easily. Still losing too. When I look at myself now I don't feel badly abt myself. I tried on a pair of pants over the weekend from before surgery and got both legs in one! From a 16 to so far an 8! Actually kinda worried I won't stop losing when I hit my goal. Never thought I'd worry about that! But I'm sure I'll level out. Very lucky I have only a little belly flab that can be tightened with exercise. Almost 50 and I was worried it would be awfully saggy! Lol. Loving my sleeve for sure!!

Good luck!! You're almost there! Yeah that soap itched me to death.. I also couldn't have my pet in my clean sheets. Strange! Had a lot of surgery and never had to do that. See you on the losers bench!

Had my surgery October 28th and as of today I've lost 60 lbs! Only 12 from goal!! Feeling like a brand new life has been given to me! Current weight 142!!! Loving my sleeve! Best of luck for all! We can do this!!

surgery day was very painful. But I walked walked walked to help and it's the only thing that will. I'm disabled from 5 back surgeries so I wasn't off work. But I felt pretty "back to normal " after abt 4 days. Still can't hardly eat more than 4 bites of anything. meat I've found is not my friend. Makes me sick.
Congratulations to you!!! I bet you feel fabulous!!! How was surgery day for you and al the healing? How long were you off work?Hello everyone I'm 6 weeks out and 40 lbs down from surgery day. So happy with my sleeve!! I'm from Ashland and had Dr Tompkins!
So great to hear your great success!

I have seen today by the "cutting down" on anyone for posting something is the reason so many at my Drs office warned me abt this'l sight. Been on here for almost a year now and never seen such disrespect for someone's thoughts. I made a nice remark to someone today and because they were of the opposite sex, was ridiculed. Not at all what this forum is for! No need on being so disrespectful on a help forum...
Thanks! Something like that could help.My doctor prescribes appetite suppressants to his patients to get us through the Liquid Phase. Perhaps you can ask your Doc for one of those.
>>Boy, you are feeling pissy!
I do understand what you're saying. So cross-examine the surgeon tomorrow. Get the answers you need.
BTW, pre-op I took Ranitidine 150 mg. twice a day for GERD. But after surgery, my surgeon prescribed a much stronger antacid -- a PPI (proton pump inhibitor) called Protonix, which I took for about 4 months. It made a LOT of difference in terms of how much hunger I felt during those early months. So also ask the surgeon about giving you a PPI Rx.
Now, go out there try not to hurt anyone before you see the doctor.
>Yes, I am. I'm also pissy when people are rude and don't read what's written before writing a condescending response. Horrible experience on this forum so far. Thanks for your input, I really do appreciate it.
Clearly your bad experience is the result of everyone but you. Funny that, I have never had one bad conversation here. I guess its all in your perspective.

Wth?? You need a life!! How old are you middle school??

Dub you sound like a straight shooter! But also have a great sense of humor! You make some very good points!

Retrogirl I'm almost as bad abt the scales since a cpl months before surgery. Losing great but seriously thinking of putting them away and only using once a week. Or I'm gonna drive myself silly. Lol

From all I've read pop and alcohol stretch your pouch. Greatest cause of weight gain in some. Just a thought to keep! Be well!!
-
Very well said! Also these guidelines are spelled out with my first visit I had.
-
Had mine Wednesday and while that day was very painful for me, well worth it! And has been getting better everyday. You will be fine. Just walk every hr or even more after surgery to relieve the air!!! Very important!
