  2. I'm so sure you are frustrated. It's frustrating enough just getting to the point your at. Seems like the office help is a little laxed in their movement. Thoughts with you to get a date soon

    My first visit

I can deal with pain really well, but the first night of laparoscopy on your stomach feels like it's going to burst. Had my gall bladder removed last year
  5. Started my journey on April 1st. I will be a September sleeved too. My Drs office doesn't give date until last appointment.
  6. Good luck! Also can't wait to join the other side too. Lol

    My first visit

No need to stress. Just a heads up, don't miss any appointments related to your wls, you may have to begin the process from the beginning. Most insurance companies require a consecutive appointment history. My waiting period with my insurance is 6 months. I will be having my procedure sometime in September. My Drs office doesn't give exact date until all your appointments are finished unfortunately.
  8. Midemali, crazy question. How much in pounds do you weigh? Sounds like you are doing awesome by your bmi. You were very lucky living there and not having to wait the times we have to in the U.S. my insurance is like most here, 6 months. Very frustrating for sure. My mother got hers done immediately too due to a life threatening reason. Almost unheard of here. But the reason for her gastric bypass(hers) was a need for extra skin on her stomach because of an extremely large hernia. She had to go to another state too to have done because of her situation too. With her not going through the classes and nutritionist, she was very unaware of a lot. She was malnourished, and sick almost every meal due to not understanding the guidelines. But honestly, 3 months in most cases are all that should be the wait. That is plenty of time to learn the exercises, new ways of eating and drinking and all the other things involved.
  9. Hope you get answer soon. Very frustrating considering how long it takes to get to this stage. Fingers crossed
  10. loved your video! Happy 40th too! I'm Natalie, 47, 5'3' 219 lbs. Live in Kentucky. Mother of 3 grown children, grandmother to 4 beautiful little ones all under 4 yrs old. Was told August would be my sleeve month, but looks like September. cause of waiting for approval after my last appointment I guess. Can't wait to do this! Until past 8 yrs I was always small, like 125 lbs. But have had 5 back surgeries, unsuccessful and because of depression of not being able to do much, gained lots of weight, and got lots of health issues now too. Like you I am ready to get healthy! I also quit smoking a month ago. Had to for the surgery, but really wanted to for a while. Even after a heart attack last April had started back. But I have a new mind set about things now. I walk on a cane and one of my goals too is to strengthen my back, legs, and feet where I don't need anymore too. I think I will also start a video diary too. Think it will be a great motivational tool. Thanks for the idea
  11. Come to find out. As I worried my date will be September. Very disheartening.
  12. Time is finally ticking away getting closer. Can't wait til surgery day!

    Smoking ?

Wow good to know. I'm same way, dying for a cigarette at times still. Lol. The Chantix obviously helps, but still hard to do. My paperwork said 8 weeks before, but didn't want to cut so close because I knew it would be hard. One of my back surgeries I had to quit also due to having bone transplant too. But went back to it soon after.
  14. Oh plz... I've had 5 back surgeries and when you're in the hospital it is to recover. My children are well behaved too, but I feel like children under 12 shouldn't visit at all unless an extended stay. Obviously not all ppl agree which is fine. One to two days is all. Lol
  15. No nicotine at all. Looked up just to make sure. Lol

Congrats in starting the process! It's all I think about. Lol. I'm a clothes horse anyways, so I too can't wait to be a small size again.
