  1. I had surgery on 3/30/15 and will not return to work until next Monday. FMLA has me covered until 4/13/15. I was required to use 2 PTO days for FMLA to apply. Short term disability will pay me up until 4/15.
  2. Thank you! I love rice cakes. I'll have to go pick some up [emoji1]
  3. Maaaaan, head hunger is all too real! I'm glad I'm not alone. Today has been my best day so far. No cravings, but I've definitely under eaten and drank today. Yesterday I had some froyo, sugar and fat free. Very little of course. It seemed to stop my cravings and replace it with those random shooting stomach pains. I accepted the consequence but I'm glad it stopped my cravings. Good luck! If you think of any solutions please let know. I know the cravings will be back! [emoji17]
  4. That is awesome! Congratulations! There is a support group tomorrow morning that I want to go to at 11:30 AM (I'm not back at until next week), and I will definitely be at the Thursday night group on 4/16. Yaaay! See you then!
  5. Thank you for posting this! Tomorrow will mark 1 week of having the sleeve surgery. I am definitely having a hard time with cravings. I'm not sure what else I can do to stay away from solid foods. I have been craving foods I don't even like! I just want to chew!
  6. Thank you! I am definitely losing the battle with "head hunger." I really want to chew for some odd reason. Any thoughts on how to kill the cravings or at least curb them a bit?
  7. Hey! I was sleeved on 3/30/15!! Doing OK so far! Still crampy, but OK ????. How are you feeling?
  8. I'm 6 days post. So far my the only 2 things I regret is getting myself to weight that I was, and then not having the surgery sooner!
  9. I was sleeved by Dr. Brown on 3/30/15. Dr. Brown, the anaesthesiologist, and nursing staff were wonderful. I left the hospital with minimal pain. My 2 week post op appointment is scheduled on 4/15/15. When are you scheduled?
  10. I'm in the Denver Metro! Bromfield
  11. Mine was when I has a stroke (mini or not) in 2012, further health risks, and limits I have because of my weight
  12. Hello! My gastric sleeve surgery was on Monday, 3/30/15. And I'm feeling OK. I spent one night in the hospital and was able to come back home the next day. My mom flew in (from Boston) to Colorado to spend the week with me. I cried so hard dropping her off at the airport last night ????. She was so helpful for me. She kept me calm, prayed for me, did my laundry and cleaned my bedroom for my return home. Lol. It was so sweet of her and I truly appreciated her for doing it. I was so cranky and sore post surgery. I don't know what I would have done without her. So now I'm back on my own, journaling my "food" and Water intake. I definitely must step up my exercise. I'll be back to work next week.
