  1. Thank you for the good wishes. Good luck with your continued journey. I remember well the feeling of becoming 'skinny' its a good feeling but much more than that feeling was the improvement in my other health issues. I was looking at a major op on my bladder, and one that didn't even promise to keep me 'dry' for more than 6 months. I never got or needed that op after weight loss. I was on lots of asthma meds, they went as well. Painkillers, gone. Wonderful, wonderful feeling being that fit. Unfortunately now feel back at square one. Just had a blub and hubby caught me, so lucky to have his support right now. He is coming with me this time, went on my own for my band. At my request. I wish the surgery wasn't so far away but have a : week holiday in Turkey inbetween. So not really a bad way to prepare. Will have to spend the last week on pre op diet hehe. Chrissy xx

  3. I am having a revision from a band to a MGB in June. Have watched most of Dr R's videos on youtube and found them really informative. Would be great to hear from someone who lived with that op as long as you have.
  4. Belgium Dr Chris DeBruyne MGB
  5. Hi I have not had my revision to MGB yet but here are the details Belgium Dr Christiaan De Bruyne 7450 Euros inc of hotel for patient and partner, some taxis etc. This surgeon did my original band op. He is one of the most experienced bariatric surgeons in Europe, has never lost a patient. He hasn't increased his prices for the last few years so making bucks doesn't seem to be his sold motivator. I have to wait until June as I already had a holiday booked around the time he had his first slot available. Do will be on a pre op diet for at least one of my three weeks. I will report back as I progress.
  6. Oops not having much luck posting on an ipad. Anyway back to my original surgeon in Belgium Dr Chris DeBruyne. I feel safe in his hands and yes I hope I have made the right choice Thank you slpearse. What a great outcome you have had. will be happy If I can just walk without my knees feeling like they are burning lol everything else is a bonus.
  7. Hi Chrissy !! You have definitely made the right choice ! I wish I had went from band to MGB and skipped the sleeve ! Who is doing your revision ? I am off to Belgium, back to

  9. Hi My name is Chrissy and I just registered here. Have booked an MGB revision from a band foR June. I get the fear and face it by thinking of my future without the surgery. Now that is scary. Am expecting to feel more or less the same as after my band op. Wasnt as bad as I expected and am praying for a repeat of that. Good luck with it. Hope you can stay positive and concentrate on getting yourself as fit and ready for the op as can be. Chrissy
