I love Old Navy and Kohls. I like Forever 21 too. Those are my regular everyday clothing store choices. I occasionally do Nordstrom and Macy's as well. I'm sure you will find a place you like.

I was told 6 months post op alcohol was allowed. However, that came with a disclaimer. The alcohol will effect you more after surgery. A small amount may make you intoxicated. I never drank alcohol so it wasn't a big loss. I took some NyQuil the other night and I felt drugged so I will continue to stay away from alcohol. Anyway, discuss this with your surgeon.

I'm 31, I had a BMI of 40 when I had surgery. My surgery weight was 238 and I am 162 right now still losing around 2lbs a week at a little over 6 months out. My high weight was 252. I thought by now the loose skin would be horrible, but it's really not. I have a little bit of loose skin on my arms and my stomach. But my stomach was bad before from pregnancies so I'm really not attributing it to the weight loss. I have like 17 more pounds to loose to a normal BMI and I don't think things will get much worse. My breast didn't even drop, sag, or deflate just got smaller. I honestly have been pleasantly surprised by my body. I thought I would need lots of plastic surgery, but now I wouldn't waste the money on it.

I just recently started back drinking coffee. I either do Fairlife milk or Premier Protein RTD chocolate or vanilla

My 6 months is actually on the 29th. I'm down to the goal weight I initially set for myself 165 lbs, now I'm thinking 145 lbs. My HW was 252 SW was 238 so about 87 lbs lost total.

There are a lot of factors to this. Everyone is different. As long as the weight is going down and you are doing everything you were told I wouldn't worry. I lost 14 lbs pre-op and 18 lbs the first month. I average 2-3 pounds per week. At 11+ weeks post op I am half way to my goal. I have had no stalls. I only weigh weekly to keep my sanity. I am happy with the steady weight loss. Slow is still better than none.

I ate only half of the brownie and half of the lemon on two separate days.

I can't wait to add salad's to my diet. My surgeon has us wait until 6 months post opt though

They are good tasting. I bought a variety. I tried two on two different days, neither sat well. I travel a lot so was looking for high Protein portable foods. Can't take the Protein Drinks through airport security only checked baggage.

I had surgery May 29th. I am down 34lbs as of last Friday. My nutritionist was the one that told me to try Quest bars. I've been on soft foods since week 3 after my surgery. I just can't have granola type bars or nuts yet when it comes to Protein bars. I wouldn't try anything without approval first. And no I never update profile. I don't know how to do it from phone app

I found that Quest bars make me nauseous and light headed. I tried 2 different one's on two different days to make sure it wasn't a fluke. From reading the ingredients I thought they would be OK, but they weren't for me. Anyway, does anyone else know of some other Protein Bars that are good with different ingredients from Quest?

I make my Protein everyday, but I will say I don't eat too many other foods. I try to have one ounce of veggies with dinner or an ounce of melon or no sugar added peaches with cottage cheese. That'll be the most nonprotein thing I consume all day. I do 8 ounces of RTD Premier Protein for Breakfast. I eat 3 meals of food between 10-20 protein each. And my plan wants me to drink skim milk 2-3 times a day but I drink 8 ounces of fat free fairlife milk once per day which has 13 grams of protein. I usually make between 70-80 protein per day. Now if my Water was as good I would be perfect. Also as someone else has mentioned the body can only absorb so much protein per hour. I was told to keep it under 25 grams. Best of luck

I just recently tried LeTote. You get 5 things in your box clothing and accessories. You can purchase if you want to keep something and you get unlimited boxes per month as long as you send back or purchase. I wanted to try new looks and thought it was an interesting idea. I heard Gwynnie Bee is good as well but they are only plus size and I wanted my subscription to last a little longer as I start to come out of plus size clothes.

did she home make everything? I think that was a big difference vs. prepackaged crap. Plus.. if you didn't make enough to feed an army, and just for the dinner.< /div>Yes, everything was homemade. We didn't even eat canned veggies. Only fresh stuff. And sweets were things like homemade sweet potato pie. Not store bought.I grew up in the late 80's- 90's. My mother cooked all of our meals. I really didn't start eating out until I was an adult. Breakfast would be oatmeal on school days, and grits, eggs, bacon, pancakes or french toast on the weekends. We ate lunch at school, and weekends we would have a sandwich or a lunchable with a juice box. dinner was collard greens or pinto Beans, cornbread, fried chicken, fried fish, or pot roast and we literally had cornbread and sweet potatoes every night. We didn't drink soda, and not too much milk only at school. I am the only one in my family that ended up overweight. My mom has been 115 lbs all her life even after having 5 kids, and still eating the same things she cooked for us as children. My sister is the same after having 4 kids. My first husband was killed in 2008 and I started gaining weight after that. Then I remarried in 2011 and started fertility drugs, and had 3 pregnancies (1 living child). I attribute my weight gain to fast food, depression meds, fertility drugs, and pregnancies. Oddly I was fine eating my mother's food.< /p>
I have Tricare Standard South region. I took myself off of prime 10 years ago because it is so inflexible. Basically, with standard their requirements are whatever your surgeons office requires. After my surgeons office submitted, approval was back within 1 week. I had RNY. They don't approve for sleeve. You have to go to the MTF for that as you have said. Best of luck

As NikkiDoc has said check for undiagnosed metabolic issues. I don't have a sleeve I went with RNY because of metabolic issues. I was never an overeater but the quality of what I ate was low, and that does not mix with a person that has metabolic issues. I knew if I got the sleeve it would not work as effectively for me as RNY. Get some labs ran, and talk to your nutritionist. Best of luck
I had bypass May 29th. I have had no issues. I picked bypass because I had metabolic issues. Sleeve most likely would not have been as successful for me because of that. Also, it is the gold standard. From reading around the forums it seems to me that sleeve people heal slower and their diet progression is slower this is my opinion from what I have read. Also I see a lot of sleeve people that eventually convert to bypass because of things like GERD. Pick what you feel is right for you
Salmon goes down better than tilapia for me. I love salmon
Anyone out there have TRICARE North?

I was under Tricare North when I got Bypass last May. I have standard though. The requirements were whatever the surgeon required, this is what they told me literally. I had surgery at mayo Clinic in Florida. I was living in Illinois and Florida at the time. Surgeon required a BMI of 40, less if the person had comorbidities, education classes, nutrition classes, various test, and psych evaluation. They submitted to insurance and it came right back. No issues. No out of pocket, because I had met it for the year
