  1. Hey everyone I'm only 10 days out but I have a question. I'm wondering how it was of you who have experienced hot summer is or who live in warmer climates keep cool. we get some pretty hot summers out here in BC and I have always got through them by gulping down bottles of cold Water. I now find that I can only take a few sips here and there and I'm wondering how I'm going to cool down this summer?

  2. Thanks everyone I did think it might have something to do with still being swollen and full of Fluid however I guess I just need to wait it out and see how the next couple weeks go. I wouldn't mind getting some Keytone strips that might help me feel like somethings actually being accomplished even when I don't see movement on the scale. I have no idea where to get the Keytone strips though? I appreciate all the help and feedback it's good to know that there are so many of you that have been through this and through all the different stages. Here's another question when they say to get 64 ounces of fluid in does that mean 64 ounces of Water plus your Protein Shakes or does that just mean 64 ounces of fluid altogether including juice water shakes etc. i'm on day seven today and the most water I have ever been able to get down in a day so far has been about 16 -20 ounces plus another 16_20 ounces of Protein shakes and maybe 5 0z of Soup or broth ??? So that's like a maximum total of like 45 ounces a day maximum I have no idea how someone could be expected to get 64 ounces of water through them especially when you can only take small steps at a time.. And then if you're supposed to have your protein shakes on top of that that just seems unrealistic and in principle not feasible?

  3. Jessica I'm so sorry that you had a rough go at it please keep us posted and let us know how your recovery is doing.

I had my surgery on the 10th and my first 24 hours I had a lot of pain I'm not going to lie at the gas pain was horrible but it was short-lived for me. The second day was much easier and now I am at about 3 1/2 days and feeling really good just a little tender around that abdomen but back to my usual grocery shopping and cooking and cleaning routines. I feel really good. But I am struggling with head hunger and I'm already getting tired of just having a liquids would love to be able to have some thick Soup or some applesauce or some peas or mashed potatoes. But I know I just have to stay the course and things will get easier I'm glad I have this forum and all of the experience people on here to ask questions when I get stuck or I'm struggling with something. Any April's slevers feel free to add me as a friend and keep me posted on your progress and recovery

  4. Hi there my surgery is scheduled for April 10 in Mexico and I'm also scared that somehow I won't be full . I am right now I'm never fall I can eat all the time and I just never get that feeling of fullness or when I do feel full after a really large meal and then I'm hungry and I can eat like an hour later. I am totally willing to do the work as far as eating healthy and exercising I'm just really scared that somehow I still won't feel full.
