  1. I started using hyaluronic acid under my moisturizer. My dermatologist said it helps you absorb and maintain the hydration of my moisturizer.
  2. And shaving my knees has become a hazard! All those boney edges used to be nice and smooth and round. I've cut myself several times!
  3. I've also noticed this. Hmmm?
  4. Mine has been shedding more than usual since two months post op. I haven't had any clumps fall out but my hair certainly is thinner at this point and I'm only 4 months post op. I'm definitely seeing we hair growth tho. I take a high quality biotin and multivitamin. I only get in 50-60 G protein a day tho.
  5. I find that the powders make a tastier shake. I'm loving Tera's Whey dark chocolate and the vanilla too! They aren't sickly sweet and I find that they have less of that protein smell.
  6. I'm in love with Tera's Whey. The dark chocolate isn't sickly sweet and it only has a few ingredients.
  7. Amazing journey! Keep up the good work! You look fantastic!!!!!
  8. Same problem here! My Dr. said it's my body adjusting to the weight loss and subsequent drop in blood pressure. I was never on BP meds before surgery but was on the higher end of normal. Now, my BP is on the lower end of normal. I guess we really underestimate the power of the body to recalibrate after such a huge change. I'm only 3 months out post op and have only lost 50#. Hopefully the orthostatic hypotension will end soon!
  9. My sleeve was done on June 5th. I lost 16# pre op and 23# post op. I'm currently in a stall, but I've noticed that my clothes are still getting looser.
  10. I finally got my energy back at the 6 week mark. That's also when I started eating chicken, fruit and veggies too
  11. Laguur, please share that recipe. Looks amazing!
  12. I talked with my dr. And he said its my metabolism ramped up.
  13. I'm one month out and the last week or two I've been waking up at 3:30 or 4:30am. What gives? I'm exhausted. I'm not taking naps, no caffeine. Ugh!
  14. I use the "power crunch" original bars. They only have 10g carbs for the whole bar and 5G sugar. They used to fill me up before surgery so I can only imagine a 1/4th of a bar would do it for me now. I get mine at walmart.
  15. The ones I eat have less than 5G of sugar. I just wanted to know because I'me having trouble with food on the go. I'm at the beach and pool a lot and need something non parish able and portable with protein. I don't plan on making meals out of them.
  16. I'm only a month out but I'm dying to eat a portion of a protein bar! I'm having the hardest time finding something other that a protein shake and string cheese to carry with me when I'm on the go.
  17. Good luck on whatever decision u make. This is a stressful time for you I'm sure. You are in my thoughts!
  18. My doctor says it can also be caused by constipation. I didn't believe him but after I took some milk of magnesia mine got better
  19. The herbal teas don't have added sugar or caffeine if u brew them yourself. They have many fruity blends that taste sooo good to me! I use a little stevia in them and Brew them to pour over ice. It's a real treat!
  20. I've started telling more and more ppl. My best reply to nay sayers is "the reason I'm sharing this with you is not for your advice or judgement but for your support". It seems to shut them down immediately. The last thing they hear is "support" and it naturally results in them changing their tune.
  21. I'm almost 9 days post op now and things are great! I tire easily, but I'm able to take bigger sips at a time and i'm eating an ounce at a time with no problems. I'm also down 9# since surgery! Woohoo
  22. We'll, now I'm 1 week post op and things have changed. I've had very little pain but as of today my energy had dropped to almost ziltch! I'm really focusing on hydration and protein. My Dr's protocol allows soft high protein foods at this point so I'm glad to be off liquids!!!! It's so interesting how all of our body's react differently to the same procedure.
