nursonegreat got a reaction from Bioluminescence in Any OR staff with tips for hydration?
I also work in the OR and it is HARD. Some days are better than others. Between cases I take the longer way and go thru the break room to check my next patient. Then take the long way back and sip more. Using quick feet so that the long route isn't noticed. It is hard tho, especially working 12hr shifts and especially on the days where I have an all day case and don't get out of the room except to break. But you can do it, best wishes on your future as an OR nurse

nursonegreat got a reaction from TXmomcat in how long to take off work? RN here
I am an RN in the OR. I also had a hiatal hernia repaired. If no repair I could have gone back in 4 weeks, but had restrictions for 6 weeks. It was great. I took the extra time and worked on building endurance walking miles and miles a day. When I went back to work after 6 weeks the only challenge I had was getting in Water as I am far from water being in the OR.

you should get approved now. if you need me to research anything for you let me know. I will
assist you all that i can. I worked in legal for 12 years and I am a research bug. if someone
tells me no they had better have a good provable reason. Go to the mattresses, fight, fight, fight.
