  1. Just let your shakes set for a few minutes, the foam will dissipate, then you can enjoy your masterpieces
  2. I drink, 1/4 caf ! and it tastes like full strength, real coffee and 1% milk, 10 CUPS A DAY !!!!
  3. 1% MILK works for me, no problem
  4. Look, no magic here. You've put on weight because you are taking ion more calories than you burn...THE TRUTH. Exercise every day, eat healthier, eat less...FACT. You at least have the tool of the surgery which absorbs less of what you eat and less true stomach hunger. Two months out after revision is nothing, keep on a diet, keep working out.
  5. Please be patient , John. it can take up to two years for long time Type II patients to get well clear of high blood sugars (so says my Doctor ). Keep exercising , loose more weight, keep exercising ....repeat, YOU WILL BEAT IT !!!!
  6. 80% less protein??? SO SORRY, I meant 80% less calories & FAT, it has ALL the protein
  7. INCREDIBLE !!! I have a hernia repair this June then , the skin removal this August My Doctors said that I was a good boy.
  8. OMG ! you were a fat pig, but not as fat a pig as I You are totally normal now, in fact hot ! ( I have a 'Fat Pig' calling licence because I was a member myself )
  9. RNY for me, hands down. I was a serious diabetic, now not at all., further the plumbing change means that you can't ever really get the stomach stretch of the sleeve patients because you have a stoma and not a sphincter exiting your stomach/pouch. also approx. 3 meter in total of small intestine is no longer used to absorb food so the same person eating the same things would lose more weight with the by-pass than the sleeve. See what I have done below, had my surgery July 2014.
  10. I feel sorry for you, man ! I didn't realize such complications occurred so many years out from a very successful patient as you !
  11. I too had a re-emergence of a decades old hernia to be repaired next month. Not uncommon from what my surgeon told me. loss of muscle mass show flaws hidden that have been overgrown by muscle that is now lost. It stops pretty much when your weight loss stops, I think I'm at that place now ( grateful ! )
  12. I use it a lot ! all the protein of peanut butter but 80% less calories and protein ! pile it on !
  13. I attend a weekly support group at Kaiser in Downey for post-op patients, every single person does not regret the procedure. We have people in the group from two weeks out to 8 years out !!! Support group really help keeping on track and not slipping back into old habbits
  14. Thank you for replying ! I wanted the best possible results for myself but the DS is the last gasp solution, Kaiser will do as a rehab or near death but quality of life is poor. R&Y worked great for me from Kaiser as you can see. Dr. Mun was my surgeon, and unlike most he only hand sews everything inside instead of staples, he feels he has greater control and staples can catch food creating problems and blockages. Just thought I'd let you know
  15. Did my Options program with Kaiser in Downey with some additional classes at South Bay. Both of those programs are excellent if they are being considered at all. I'm curious that you mentioned Duodenal Switch. That is a severe procedure reserved for near life threatening UBER OBESITY or reconstructive salvage for VERY BAD patients who completely failed with the sleeve, it is not for the 45 to 60 + BMI patients, further expect massive daily Vitamin supplements and eternal diarrhea. GOOD LUCK
  16. Premier Protein shakes & No FAT Cottage Cheese are the keys and what I still consume mostly. Pollock is also excellent for very low calories and high protein
  17. Exercising ????? That's the first question I have for stalled patients, then its ARE YOU LOGGING ALL YOUR food ???? in particular look at calories and fats. With all the digestive parts removed now and still stalling, I believe if you take care of the two issues that I've mentioned ( reduce caloric intake & EXERCISE ) thing will be fine, no magic here. Take care.
  18. I had one that hurt more than the others though not as bad as you describe, keep a watch out for infection or excessive fluid build up and if there are ANY doubts, see your doctor !!!
  19. Smart !!!! I also stay mostly with soft/wet foods even at 9 1/2 months out, IT WORKS, no major stalls and I've put very one in my post operative support group to shame with my results. Keep up the great work !!!
  20. Me too, when ever I smell fresh Maple Bars or hot pizza w/ extra cheese I salivate ( of course I did that before surgery too )
  21. For proper advice you should provide honest exercise amounts, daily caloric in take and Protein intake. the answer to what you need to do lies in these facts. I doubt that you are starving if your weight loss stopped and still maintaining an 80 lbs. surplus.
  22. Well, I'm 9 1/2 months post-op and down 201 lbs. I still consume mostly softer foods, Protein of about 80 grams a day and calories about 700 a day. I walk a brisk 5 miles six days a week and do about 300 push ups and 400 bicep curls ( with 5 lbs. 0 daily ). The equation is simple, keep calories low, work out alot and you will have success. Hunger is only in your mind now with the gift of by-pass surgery. Your trainer want to keep the job and if he/she senses that you want to eat more and implies that you should consume more, they win and if you gain some weight or fail to lose more, they win because you really need the trainer, Right ?
  23. sugar free as opposed to "No Sugar Added" should be fine. chocolate by definition is made with sugar, the Cocoa bean is verr bitter and Chocolate is made with sugar. If in doubt, read the label for carb content which should be very low ( less than ten I would suppose ) if it is sugar free.
  24. Thanks for the reply, I don't care so much about scaring ( I'm an old married man ) just being able to afford skin removal from all areas ( arms, chest, butt, thighs ) , my current Medical Insurance will do my tummy , no charge but after that its staight out of my pocket and I'm far from wealthy
  25. Well, I can alsonotice the difference between caf & decaf . I found a mixure of 25% REAL coffee and 75% decaf both of my favorite brand gives me full coffee taste and I'm a happy puppy....NO PROBLEMS
