    Can you eat chocolate?

OK Pedro, I'm just kidding, the truth is I find that a thread like this in a forum like this is just plain silly. I know you agree. chocolate should be considered poison to ALL OF US BARIATRIC PATIENTS.Raw cacao is very beneficial to us, buying a mars bar is what is wrong. Assuming that a question is silly based on ur own definition is very limited in my opinion...and does not match the role of this forum by any means!Just a helpful hint there are many ways to enjoy chocolate made with healthy ingredients like fruits, natural sweetners like agave and healthy oils like coconut. Sent from my GT-N7100 using the BariatricPal App Hmmm, let's see...BMI 21.8 vs 50.6.....now who is silly ?

  4. Smoking Marijuana , I find has helped me be able to keep nacho cheese doritos down, where I couldn't before. I'm going to try cheese burger sliders next with the help of Marijuana, I hope to be able to.

    Almost 2 Years Post-Op

I had my surgery in July of 2014 also ! I consume approx. 1200 cal. a day average also, I also walk an hour and a half six days a week. Pre-surgery weight of 378# today I'm 166#. Not sure what the problem is that you are having, I guess we are all different. I lost my 200# in about ten months and only a few more # after that. I lost more than I thought I could. I have noticed the tendency to snack at night and must constantly reign in the desire, I hope this isn't your problem too. GOOD LUCK !!

    PreOp weight loss?

I was asked to lose 38 lbs. to show resolve AND shrink the liver so that my insurance would cover the procedure. I'll be damned if I was going to let the opportunity of surgery slip by.... I lost 64 lbs. !!!!

    Can't stop losing weight...

Well, I maintain 160 lbs. to 165 lbs. on between 1,000 and 1,400 calories ( and 120 grams of protein ) a day and I walk 2 1/2 hours a day. That in mind, think where a 1,000 calories and a fair amount of exercise might put you now.

    Gastric Bypass VS Sleeve

Please, just do the sleeve, its so much easier. ( Besides with my RNY I'll always be able to brag and out perform all the sleeve patients and make me look great ) Really, RNY is a more serious operation , you are actually shortening the length of the intestine that absorbs food. Every thing being equal, RNY trumps the sleeve, especially if you are diabetic. Just check out my numbers...'nuff said.

WOW, you are already there ! Perfect already !!!!
  15. I'm more healthy a slimmer now than ever in my life. My wife hasn't let me even touch her since my surgery ! The only time she would show any tenderness is when I had a hernia repair this past June and a panniculectomy. Perhaps she feels the need for me to be needy ? I'm at wits end

    The 3rd Week Stall

    Who sets your goal

I set my own goals but I was wrong. I originally want to / hoped to get down to 180# but statistics showed that I should only drop to 260 #. I sailed past 260 # and when I was 225 # during a follow up visit to my surgeon, he stated..." looks like your done with your weight loss, good job " . Then. I sailed a little slower down to 180#... Hooray !!! But, as I increased my exercise and watch my calories and Protein I dropped to 165 # and I am so pleased at this weight. I would say that based on your activity, diet, your body will make its own decision

    Bowel movement issue. Please help

This is something that I was not prepared for when I decided to have my RNY. CONSTIPATION ! With the high Protein / low fat diet, stools are solid and hard, constipation is a big issue. I take stool softeners daily as well as either sugar free Citrucel or sugar free Metamucel multiple times daily. I add a little real lemon juice to my Fiber drinks for extra vit. C

    Just a little venting

SIT in the booth, let it serve as a reminder and intensive as to why you had the sugery !!!

    Salsa

Regular tortilla chips = big and fat, where you came from !!!! I can't stress that enough. Qwest chips ONLY, low fat cheese on occasion ONLY, NO FAT CHEESE more regularly, or they'll never quit calling you fat and the wonderful tool of By Pass will be wasted on you. THE TRUTH . I eat salsa ( any and all types daily ) with no problems.

    Can't stop losing weight...

I'm 16 months post op and recently lost another 10 lbs. I found it rather pleasing as I haven't weighed so little since I was in seventh grade . Seriously, at 5'4" and 118 lbs, you must be so fantastic now ! I have experimented on my weight loss journey and by adding a little bit of fatty meat OR pie and or ice cream in moderation twice a week will stop your loss BUT DON'T get into old habits ! Keep in control and enjoy life !!!
