What is the surgeon saying!? This is terrible
-
Wow, why did you guys have so many incisions? I have only one & it is in my belly button-can't see it except for a bit of surgical glue that hasn't fallen off yet.

The absorption of BC is affected. IUD is best---I have Mirena IUD and haven't had a period in a year!

I had terrible nausea in the hospital for 2 days. Was rotating Reglan & Zofran round the clock through the IV. I also had terrible pain & was getting Diludad & Tylenol frequently. I think that it is not explained how hard the post-op period can be. I had no idea that it could be so awful. I am feeling better now. Best wishes to your daughter. She will feel better soon, I'm sure.

OMG thank you so much. wish I would have been able to relax on Constipation a little bit! Yesterday got nervous & took Milk of Mag. I definitely was able to go, let's just say that. Things are calmer now though
Have lost 14lbs of weight already!
Had surgery on 3/31. It was rough! So much pain & nausea! Ouch. But now am feeling good with minimal pain & no nausea. Eating Protein shakes now & focusing on getting the right amount of liquid in a day. My only problem is that I haven't had a bowel movement yet!
A bowel movement will come. It just takes a few days. Remember you really haven't had anything in your system. You were probably on a liver shrink diet before surgery and then fasted the night before and have only had a few sips of Protein so far. I had surgery on Monday 3/23 and didn't have a bowel movement until Friday 3/27. It was all very loose until this week when i was finally able to start getting enough protein. The more you walk the better you will feel and the more it will move things through you.

Thank you for the advice!! I already had my final appointment...should have asked! I'm just nervous and have no idea what the hospital is like staying there...though Beyonce had her baby there so it must be pretty good

1. What was it like waking up? Did you feel pain or nausea right away, or feel confused?
2. Did you go right to your room or were you in a post operative room at first?
3. Did you have a pain pump or how did you take pain medication or anti-nausea meds?
4.How long until you took your home meds? Did you crush them or take them whole?

I've been wondering about a few things though.
1. What was it like waking up? Did you feel pain or nausea right away, or feel confused?
2. Did you go right to your room or were you in a post operative room at first?
3. How long did you wait before you walked?
4. Did you have a pain pump or how did you take pain medication or anti-nausea meds?
5.How long until you took your home meds? Did you crush them or take them whole?
XOXO

Hi,
I'm scheduled for sleeve on Tuesday @ Lenox Hill. I'm super excited but just wondering what to expect! What was it like waking up there? Did you go right to your room or were you in a post operative room at first? Did you have a private or shared room? What was that like & did you have anyone staying with you? Wondering where my husband can sleep if he wants to stay! Did you get a pain pump or how were pain meds administered?
THANKS!

Wow. I am so sorry for everything she has gone through. She sounds like she needs to stay in the hospital for awhile for monitoring & for further testing! She is suffering!
