I'm almost 6 weeks post op and very gassy! Sure hope it goes away!!

I went to the doctor today... He said a multivitamin and calcium... you are clearly over using the vitamins. You shouldn't take vit k unless you have very thin blood that doesn't clot. Your multivitamin can have all the ingredients of the other vitamins if you find the right one. Good luck :-)

I had my first fill today and my doctor automatically does it under local anesthesia... Thought this was normal? Good luck☺

Got my first fill today... 5cc's. I was very surprised that he was that aggressive the first time! I was expecting much less.... I'm excited and ready to start losing weight!!

My surgery was March 10th so just over 3 weeks ago. In the beginning I drank a protein shake with a Greek yogurt and a banana mixed in it. It had around 30-40 grams of protein. It really helped with the weakness. No belly pain for me thank goodness. I'm able to eat pretty much anything at this point and looking forward to getting a fill.

I brought very little only because I flew in, had the surgery the same day and flew out the next day. Something comfortable for the plane... Gas strips.. Tylenol and bullion cubes. I paid in cash at the hospital because I got a $200 discount for going that route.

Is it gas pain? I could tell the difference between the 2 and ate gas x for a few days but never had to take any pain medication. Sorry you are in so much pain ????

I'm doing great! I've lost 15lbs already.

After the first week things get much easier. I haven't had any problems getting the amount of fluids in and at times I wonder if I've actually had the band!

Hello lapgal40...I had my surgery on March 11th as well! Hope all is going well... I'm ready for soft foods today!!

Has anyone had surgery in mexico? If so, did you have a problem finding someone to do fills in the states?

14 days post op from having the lap band in Mexico. Sad to say that I've learned more on this site in the past few hours that I did from my doctor.
