@ meSparkle83 hey lady, how is everything going? How are you holding up after day 2? Remember it gets easier. I am looking fwd to tues, but im becoming a nervous wreck. Never had surgery so a bit on edge...@@blashlee round of applause for you. I had blood work this morning and had to fast last night as well...by the afternoon, i thought i was going to turn into the hulk as starvation set in. Day 10 down for me. Keeping it moving ladies, almost there.

@@meSparkle83 @@blashlee hey ladies, I made it!! Thank you for your prayers and support. I was discharged today and so happy to be home. Surgery went very well, no complications of any kind. The only thing i can complain about is the gas...sheesh. Your tummy is pumped with gas so they can see and that is the hardest thing to dwal with after surgery. I had some gas ex strips but that seemed to make it worse. The best thing you can do is walk and walk and WALK. That is the only way to move that gas around for it to pass. I was up and walking about 7 hrs after surgery. I am so excited for the both of you. I hope the pre-op diet is getting better...your almost there.

If anybody will suffer through it with you, it'll help. It's gotten easier, I've got 5 days to go!
I've been experimenting with Jello a lot. And seasoning my broths so they're a little more fun to sip on. Also, keeping variety helps. I have a lot of different Proteins and zero cal drinks so I don't get bored. Mostly just staying busy really helps.

I finally found someone who has the same date as me, April 6th. I was really excited before, but now I'm so scared ????

Don't be scared! I'm a little nervous but mostly excited. I'm excited about what the rest of my life will be like because I made this choice. You'll be asleep. In the hands of trained and capable staff. Hopefully in a nice comfortable hospital that also has trained and capable staff. From my understanding, you'll have a yucky few weeks, and then you'll spend a little while relearning how to eat and live. But it's gonna be worth it. We're in this together!

Hello everyone, my name is Tara and my surgery date is march 31st. I am currently on day 6 of my pre op diet. I am filled with so many emotions right now, but I am definitely looking forward to my new beginning.

I waited until today to weigh myself since ive started my pre-op and 17 lbs down!! Im so glad you both are doing very well on your pre-op. I will keep you ladies posted. I'm excited for you. I had a mini melt down yesterday but I'm cool now. I'm still sticking to it.

@ meSparkle83 @ blashlee hang in there ladies. This is nothing but a test and it get hard before it becomes easy. The days are passing by and soon we will all be winning on the other side. I can definitely relate to what your going through. This liquid diet is very rough. Ive had such a stinking attitude for the past couple of days because i wanted to eat. I didnt want to talk to anyone or do anything, just stay to myself. I almost gave up but i kept looking at the calendar thinking tues is right around the corner and I got this. Just think how strong we are for having to even endure this part of the journey and great we will feel once we reach the end. We got this ladies...our rainbow is within reach.

@ MeSparkle83 I am doing ok. A mixture of nervousness and excitement all in one. Ive been trying to get my house in order and busy myself to put me at ease. I'M AS WELL GETTING MY BAG PACKED TODAY, IM BRING AN EXTENSION CORD FOR MY PHONE/TABLE TO CHARGE SO I CAN CHARGE THEM NEAR ME I'M SURE OUTLETS ARE NOT IN REACHING DISTANCE AND I WANNA KEEP MY PHONE CHARGED LOL, DID YOU PACK LOOSE FITTING CLOTHES? A PILLOW FOR THE RIDE HOME (-;

Deep breath. Time to pack. Don't have to be there till 10am and don't expect to sleep much. Our lives are so centered around food - family, social, comfort, TV. Time to change that. Planted three rose bushes and an azalea bush today. Here's hoping we all thrive and grow together as symbols of my new life.

I'm March 30th! I can use all of the support I can get!
