This was a big relief to read. I am just over 3 weeks, and getting between 700 to 900 cals a day.
Even adding up my minimal diet it is 710, and I hear some people even saying to do 500 a day.
I could see 500 pre op liquid diet, but not now.
Egg with cheese, Protein shakes with skim milk, and a yogurt a day. On occasion I eat a baby food thing of prunes to help with the Constipation.
this forum is so helpful.

I have PCOS. Was diagnosed when I was 16. Have been one form of birth control or another since then. Right now I have the Mirena.
Since I had the mirena I have had normal periods. About 35 days, with only a weird cycle (for like 3 months) when I thought I was pregnant (turned out it was a chemical pregnancy).
I got taken off of metformin which was mainly for my diabetes. I was on 1000 mg twice a day.
I grow dark facial hair, and have to shave like every other day.
Does the facial hair go away or get less as you lose weight?

I have a lot of gas issues still. 2 weeks out, Gas X is my best friend most times.
While in the hospital the nurse gave me some gas relief meds too. That helped with the walking, and such.

Ok I did so more research, I found this video.
It was very helpful and reassuring.
I will put it here incase anyone else wants to watch it, or is having the same question I am.

11 days post op gastric sleeve.
I started to feel hunger on Friday (it's Sunday morning now)
I had messed up my daily order that day. I had ran out of milk, and was going to go out with my dad to go get more Protein mix and milk. So I had a yogurt instead of a shake. My dad was suppose to pick me up at 10, but was not able to arrive till 12:30. By the time he arrived I was hungry ( I ate about 9 15 am). I got a Protein Shake in and felt better.
I felt hungry again Friday night, and ate two ounces of baby rice Cereal and felt full.
Felt hungry a couple times on Saturday, and I am kinda feeling hungry right now.
I am following all of my surgeons orders (eating 2 ounces 3 times a day of the approved food list. and clear liquid diet in between- Protein shakes and clear liquids)
I am getting about 8 to10 cups of Fluid a day, and getting between 50 and 70 grams of Protein a day. Nausea is under control, and I take 20 mg of an acid reducer twice a day.
Is this normal, does this just mean my pouch (April) is healing and am getting ready to eat pureed diet?
I see my surgeon on Weds, and will be allowed to progress to pureed at that time.
I know this is probably common, but I just need reassurance.
Sorry and thanks in advance.

I had severe nausea, and was not allowed to be discharged till I had it under control.
I was given the patch behind the ear while in surgery.
Then given Zofran and Phenergan, to help overcome that not being able to drink Water even.
They ended up giving a pill that is normally given to cancer patients having Chemo treatments. It lasted 3 days, and OMG it was a miracle drug. I was able to drink Water in between the gas bubbles.

I have surgery Weds too.
I have Gas x strips. I was told with all the air they pump in you will need it.

Almost 6 weeks post op from gastric sleeve. I have borderline personality disorder. I take medication for it, Trileptal 1.5 teaspoons twice a day. It's a seizure medication but works amazing for me, or did.
For the past few weeks I have been so up and down emotionally. First I thought it was my PMS/period but that came and went. I am still emotionally all over the place.
I am happy for an hour, then upset and crying for a few, back to ok.
Is it normal to experience the ups' and downs of a behavioral disorder post op? Is my body just regulating?
Pre op I was stable.
