  7. You have to do what you want. If you don't feel comfortable telling people by all means don't do it. I personally have told as many people as ask. I feel for me by telling people it will make me more motivated to lose the most possible weight and keep it off.
  8. I am 3 weeks post op and got the go ahead after week one to eat soft proteins. I ate scrambled eggs and after just a few bites I felt sick. My Surgeon said to try again in two weeks which I did...a few bites and I am over the toilet throwing up. Anyone else have issues with eggs? does it go away? I gots to have my scrambled eggs!

  10. Best of luck to you. The first few days of recovery you start to think will I ever recover but give it a week and you feel so much better.
  11. My guess is there is not one person on this board who didnt have second thoughts at one point. You have to make the best decision for you. Surgery is a big deal and has risks but yoyo weight loss and being overweight have serious risks too. Only you can make this decison and once you do trust yourself Also mindset is a big deal. WLS is simply a tool...A very effective tool but a tool nonetheless. If you tell yourself you are just going to gain it all back than you will. It is that simple. We have all gone through what you are going through or we wouldn't be here. Best of luck in whatever you decide!
  12. Protein shakes are the biggest help there is. I know they dont taste great but the benefits of Protein can't be understated. How about carbs? Are you limiting carbs? Just remember this is a process and it will get better.
  13. Try premier protein. It has an ok flavor and for 11 ozs it has 30 grams of protein and oly 5 grams of carbs.
  14. Was wondering if any of you vets had an issue with low heart rate after surgery. Mine has been in the low 50s when sitting on the couch and low 40s while asleep (fitbit reading) I am just over 2 weeks postop and was wondering of anyone had this issue?

Only real bad thing is dry mouth but I can get past that. I was up and walking 4 trips around the floor which they state is good. Where was everyone else 8 hours after surgery? Just need some reassurance that I am progressing well.
