  1. I got my lap band 10 years ago and it has been a nightmare. I have never been able to have a fill and have gained a ton of weight since I got it! I am going to get a revision with Dr. Jose Rodriguez in Juarez because he did my lap band and I figured that he would be the best person to get it out of there, and he is very experienced also. I dont have a date yet, but I am looking at June. I wish it could be tomorrow!!! My questions is, do you still get stuck with the sleeve? I am so tired of having to run to the bathroom when I get stuck. Plus its so random! Any info would be great!
  2. You look amazing!!! Any tips? What have you been doing to make your weight loss awesome like it has been?I've done a lot of walking! At least 3 miles a day 5-7 days a week (depending on weather). And I've stuck with the plan, mostly Protein foods. I rarely eat any carbs (mostly a cracker to go with my cheese snack or a slice of whole grain toast for breakfast (this is rare). I don't think I get all my protein in - that's a daily battle. I'm going to try going back to my protein shake though and see if that helps. Loved them before surgery but afterwards I couldn't stand them. I never had a 3 week stall. I stalled one time for 10 days (due to weather and other things I didn't get to walk a lot which didn't help). But I also know I've done some things not right - occasional glass of wine - so I'm far from perfect. I honestly think I've just been very very lucky. About how many calories were you getting daily?

  5. I had my sleeve done on 6/11/2015. I feel pretty good. Mine was a revision from the band and the spot that hurts the most is where my port was taken out. I am able to drink slowly. I am excited to be on the losers bench. I lost 25 pounds during my one month pre op diet so I am ready to keep going!!

How many people have had their gallbladder removed after surgery?
  16. Hello, I am having my revision surgery on June 12th. The past couple weeks I have been getting stuck more often and have been throwing up more than usual and with more force. I am wondering if I should just do liquids and puréed (things that will not get stuck) until my surgery to prevent things from getting worse in there. There violent throwing up/stuck spells are prob just getting things all inflamed and worse in there.I feel like I am having this surgery just in time but am afraid what the doc will find when he gets in there. I am having my surgery in Mexico with Dr. Jose Rodriguez. He placed my lap band 9 years ago so I figured he would be best to get it out. Do you guys think me sticking with liquid/ pureed food until my surgey is a good idea to give everything time to calm down in there and not cause anymore damage?
  17. Where are you having your surgery? That's my date also. Dr. Jose Rodriguez.
  18. Anyone having their surgery with Dr. Rodriguez around June 12th?
  19. Hello everyone, I am new here. I was banded in Mexico by Dr. Jose Rodriguez in Acuna Mexico in 2004. I was never able to have a successful fill and have gained almost 80 pounds since my surgery. I want to have a revision to a sleeve, but do not know if a doctor here would do it. I do not have any kind of operative records or anything. I really want to get this thing out, I am constantly getting stuck and throwing up, I can't live like this anymore! Has anyone had a similar situation and had a surgeon here do it and insurance cover it? Any information or stories would be greatly appreciated! I am in South Bend, IN. Thanks so much!!
  20. What is everyone's plan if there are complications after you get back home? I am more afraid of that then the surgery itself. It's the reason I am having second thoughts.
