  1. Oh honey! I think the process is intentionally difficult and tedious so people will get discouraged and quit. Hang in there and just do the next thing.
  2. Mine is August 20th as well! I'm ready. I'm not even stressed about any of it. I'm taking that as a sign of the Lord's peace.
  3. Surgery is August 20th with a bazillion things in between. I am so ready.
  4. I got the call this morning. Now I'm waiting to hear from the surgeon.
  5. I'm in wait mode too. They have had mine for a week and two days. I'm ready. I just keep reading and making notes so I know what to expect. And trying to cut back on sugar, caffeine, and eat slower.
  6. It depends on your weight but between 60 - 100 grams of Protein a day. Eat protein first every single time, then vegetables that are not starches, and Water. Lots of water. Carbs should be very limited. I track all my food in My fitness pal. You can set it for high protein/low carbs.
  7. If you don't have enough protein your body will take it from itself and your organs and muscles will suffer.
  8. How many grams of Protein are you getting? Are you tracking your food at all?
  9. How much protein are you getting in a day? From your sample day I see a lot of carbs.
  10. This is me exactly. I'm waiting to hear from the insurance now. My surgeon's office is great so far but they have done all their stuff and now it's in the insurance for review and approval. I know the Lord is In the midst of it all. I just want to get to the other side. Hugs, honey. Hang In there.
  11. Whoohoo! You are going to feel so much better when you are on the other side of surgery. That's what I'm telling myself anyway. ????
  12. Thanks. I am still waiting on final approval but just noticed that in my paperwork tonight. I'm ready!
  13. My surgeon's office submitted my paperwork - YEA - and there was a surgery date with Dummy date beside it. I'm so ready for this. What was your experience?
  14. I stopped carbonation weeks ago. I'm working on not using straws and not drinking with meals. That one is hard for me.
  15. I guarantee she call you when they get approval. If it is stressing you then call her or shoot an email her way the end of the week? I expect I'll email mine if I don't hear some thing inside of two business weeks.
  16. Who submitted for you? My surgeon's office has a surgery coordinator whose whole job is gathering and submitting the paperwork. She has been awesome.
  17. Mine was submitted Wednesday. I keep checking my email to see if I have something from the surgery coordinator. I have UHC. I am beyond ready.
  18. I have UHC as well and they do require me to use a BCOE. I'm ok with that because it means they really have to meet stringent guidelines to qualify as a BCOE. And they have to do it every year.
  19. You look great! Good job!
  20. Thanks! I just signed up for one. Maybe they'll send coupons too.
  21. I have told some people but I preface it with "I will not debate nor hear any negative talk. If you can't support me then say nothing at all." So far I've only had one comment that was the least bit negative and once she understood I wasn't doing it just to be thin but for my health she switched up and completely supports me doing it now. I did find out that one of my closest friends spent time discussing whether or not I was up to committing to the changes needed. But I let it slide past me because she is speaking from HER choices - not mine. It's for me and mine that I am doing this. Their opinions are the only ones who matter. Everyone else can take a flying leap.
  22. I have been consistently reaching out each week and I'm sure my PCP is completely annoyed with me but I just want it submitted for approval so I know when already!
