  1. Its microscopic nerve endings growing back. That is the burning you feel. Normal.
  2. Surgery Date: 3/30/2015 Surgery Weight: 225 Current Weight: 202 Pre Surgery size-22/24 Current size-16/18 Concerns: None, loving it! Joys: Able to wear some of my old clothes. My son noticing the loss! He says it every day. Feeling healthy, and not having cravings for fried food. Exercise: I exercise 5 or 6 times a week, a combo of walking, ellipitical, kick boxing and the stationary bike. I am doing 12K steps a day WHOOT WHOOT!
  3. I eat every 3 hours to get more calories and to make my protein. I sip all day, to make the fluid goal but I do it. I am about 800 calories a day. 7 weeks post op. I do cardio 5-6 times a week.
  4. 7 weeks out today, and feel really good, no pain. Call your doc.
  5. I have a full time job, and 2 young kids with tons of activities. Planning is the key. You have to make time to prepare your food for the week, and pack Snacks and food, so you can eat every 3 hours or so. I also have a Water bottle, and track my Fluid intake on my fit bit app. I use my fitness pal for food and exercise. Its a commitment for sure, and it is hard, because I always put my kids first. I have to say to myself, you need time too, for a healthier you! Last night, since I did not make it to the gym. I decided I would go walking. My 4 year old lol, blocked the door, and said NO MOMMY!!! , but I gulped and went anyway. My hubby said he was fine about 30 seconds after I left. I walked 2 miles and felt great! XOXOXOX
  6. do you get these at your regular doctors or at your surgeons place?
  7. I am slowly running out of clothes. I gained all my weight while pregnant, most with my first and then more with my second. I am just about at the weight I was after giving birth to my first son, so I have a whole bunch of size 8/10 pants med/small shirts, and then nothing until size 18, which I am in now and are starting to get big. SHOPPING TIME!
  8. scale has not moved since Monday, but I am really low on pants that fit, so I had to wash the pants I wore Monday, and they are looser than Monday, and the shirt I bought on Saturday a little tight, now fits great. Weird, right?
  9. I was worried about that too, but it did not happen. I think they approve for a time frame.
  10. it will slow down. I am losing about .5 lbs a day. and I thought I was losing fast! Go you!
  11. low carb ones are the way to go!
  12. People on here say 1 year. They also say that the alchohol absorbs very quickly. I would say no as you are healing now.
  13. Has anyone tried the Quest Pasta? How is it?
  14. did you eat that all at one time? I would die.
  15. I've read you should drink 1/2 to 1 ounce of water for every pound you weigh. If you live somewhere hot or are very active, aim for the upper end. Drinking too much water can dilute the sodium in your body which can cause problems like nausea, confusion, headaches etc. Low sodium (hyponatremia) can be very serious. I read in my book that you also get water from food. like chicken is 60% water, but we are eating less and therefore need more fluids.
  16. I got that too at about 2 weeks it was a burning pain doctor said it was Microscopic nerve endings growing back - happened with my c section too but if you are worried call your doc
  17. I had great nurses too, I had one Nurse Kathy who was perfectly mean!!!!!!!!!!!! My husband loved her. My next apt is 5/14 - I will have to stop up!
  18. phew - I stick to the 4 oz, sometimes I don't eat it all. SOmetimes I do.
  19. I lost 27 pounds pre op diet plus post op. The more you weigh the more you will lose.
  20. I hiccup too. I am struggling with the restriction too. I am on soft foods and I am about 4 weeks out. I eat a piece of string cheese I feel full, but not restricted. I ate one egg for dinner last night, again, felt full. I have been eating 2 oz of fish for lunch with a few bites of cailflower mash. Some people can eat 2 eggs and 4 oz of meat. Everyone is different. I am steadily losing weight so I guess I am fine.
  21. My nut says 5-6 small meals a day, that will also help curb hunger. I am doing that and still only eating 500-600 calories 4 weeks post op. Granted a meal could be a piece of string cheese.
  22. Ever since surgery I have been really cold. I used to sweat at night, not anymore. Its really weird.
