Sounds like you may need to go to the doctor and get an x-ray of your abdomen.

@@BizzyB >> you said, " I find myself waking up in the morning feeling angry to even have to eat anything at all." You can start your day with a Protein shake. I did that for the first 8-10 weeks after surgery. It got my energy level up quickly to make a better start to my day. I didn't worry so much about food either. I found a couple of foods that didn't make me ill and I ate them only for a few days before trying anything else new. Take it slow. It'll be alright.

Dealing with ongoing medical conditions
TammyDTM replied to Laydee_G's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@Laydee_G OK girl, you know what's right for you, I guess. I had fibroids and I just couldn't take the pain any longer and I was missing so much work so I just got rid of the darn thing! I was done having kids so there just wasn't a need for it any more. -
Hair issues - 15 months out. Is this the new normal post WLS?
TammyDTM replied to Bluesea71's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
@@shellyd88 you said "and to add insult to injury my weight loss has slowed a lot last three weeks is about three lbs a week before was at least 6 lbs a week I'm down about 90 lbs since surgery in late February" Honey, that is fantastic! I'm sorry about your hair though. Take some of the suggestions of others and in the meantime, wear a wig when you go out. -

Slimy feeling in your mouth?
TammyDTM replied to DreamsComeTrue15's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@DreamsComeTrue15 The "slime" didn't go away for me until I stopped with the artificial sweeteners. The "sugar-free" puddings, jello's, Protein shakes, etc. were the culprits. They also made my saliva foamy. -

So, today we took a lot of Father's Day pictures with the family. For the first time in many many years I did not try to hide behind other people. Looking at the pictures later, I was so glad that I didn't look "fat" to myself in them. However, it made me sad to see the other family members, who I love so dearly, that are now bigger than I am. I used to be the biggest one in the pictures... and now I'm not. But for some reason I do not get any joy from that. I love my family and I want us all to be healthy...

8 weeks since surgery and I think I am flunking this test!
TammyDTM replied to erenee's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am three weeks out from surgery. And yes I can eat regular food without any problems and eat 1000 calories a day easily. A meal is 5 oz of Protein and a salad no problem. I do have a nutritionist but she's on vacation. I'm thinking I got a bigger stomach after the surgery. I have had zero problems with eating anything and I can chug a glass of Water easily too with no problems. I see my surgeon next week. I'm not eating crap food - I'm eating lean protein and veggies but I can still eat more than I should be able to at this point. smh... -
Weight gain during first week?
TammyDTM replied to margied804's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I weighed 17 pounds more when I left the hospital because of the fluids they gave me while I was there for the two days. It took me a week and a day to get rid of the extra weight before my "real" weight loss could begin. Hang in there. It's just Water. It will leave you. Just drink and walk as much as you can. -
Congratulations to you and your wife!

8 weeks since surgery and I think I am flunking this test!
TammyDTM replied to erenee's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@@thecakewasalie - Do you have a nutritionist? If you are only 8 weeks out from surgery there is no way you should be eating 1,200 calories a day. You might not being losing weight because you are eating too much. -
Wow, I am just the opposite! Cold all of the time!

How do you relieve the too-full feeling?
TammyDTM replied to ZoeyBear's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I don't think you should make yourself throw up. I've read other posts where they say you should wait it out. Don't drink anything for 40 minutes or more. Maybe walking might help. -
@@gomezk2 In my opinion, it is too soon after your surgery for you to take nsaids, if ever at all. You should definitely check with your surgery team about that.

I took whole pills in the hospital.
