Okay, I guess I was too cocky about not having trouble with introducing new foods and not throwing up. Not sure what it was yesterday, but late last evening I suddenly had issues at both ends. Then I was fine, though a little shaky.

Had my one-month follow up appointment yesterday (I'm seven weeks out, but had to reschedule my appointment because I was out of state dealing with my dad's heart failure and surgery). So far I'm over 50 lbs down., and I've been cleared for all activity and all types of foods.

so June i got new jeans went from size 14 to a 10 but them i had to go back last week to changed them again to a size 8 lol love it!!

Wearing a pair of size 16 pants from my closet that I don't think that I actually was ever able to wear before.

Back home after almost two weeks in Indiana with my family as my dad went through a triple heart bypass. On the plus side, I'm down another 6.6 pounds after this trip.

One month post-op today. 18 pounds down since surgery, 44.4 pounds total.

Third day that the scale hasn't budged. Feeling so discouraged and disappointed in myself and wondering if this surgery was a huge mistake.

Saw my surgeon Today, all food phases are complete - - Regular, Healthy Foods I am so excited!!!

I haven't tried the sloppy joe meat again yet... maybe I'll pull it out of the freezer next week! I'm coming along OK, just started adding back in soft cooked veggies and fruits yesterday. I had a freak-out this morning about calories and carbs and fiber, but I called my surgeon's office and talked to the PA, who reassured me that I was on track.

Made it through my first major holiday with NO battle scars, so thankful... was worried that I would not enjoy myself - - had a blast & wore some really CUTE jeans I haven't fit into in 3-years!!!

Tried some homemade ground turkey sloppy joe meat today... NOPE. It didn't come back up, but burned like hell!

First week back... 3-days in 2 left. Nosey Co-workers, lol Oh the gossip. When they don't know they reach!!!

This is my first week back at work, too. I only told one of my staff I was having WLS. But already one of my other staff blurted out in front of the other three--in the middle of a staff meeting--that I'd lost so much weight! She assumed that it's just been from the stress/recovery of my "unspecified surgery" that I was out for, but I wasn't expecting anyone to notice my weight loss at this point. I lost about 30lb over the last 2-3 months including pre-op diet, and about 10-15 since surgery, but I guess I'm looking a lot different in the last 2 weeks.

Reading forums from pre-op and post-op patients, nervous, excited and a little scared. Only two of my family members know about my decision (my mother and my significant other of eight years Raymond) I can't tell anyone else because they are too judgemental and won't understand. I am nervous about my psych eval. when I was a teenager I was on antipsychotics and antidepressants for a few years mostly because of my weight (I was obese throughout middle and high school), I don't want that to be a reason why I cannot get the help that I need.
