  1. oh, just saw your other sweet comment about the hair :) thank you so much, but i have to confess: they're jessica simpson extensions! ;)

  2. congratulations!!! you're going to do great!! as far as the rate of weight loss -- i can't say it was fast, for sure. it took me about nine months to reach restriction because my doctor is super conservative with fills. in the first year i lost about 75 pounds, though, and i'm very happy with that!

hope your surgery and recovery go perfectly! all the best to you,

  3. that's really good!! i'm impressed. i always think people should stick to what they're comfortable with -- not overdo it, because it's SO easy to get burnt out and run the other direction. obv the level that each person is comfortable with will be different, but figuring out what works is another part of this crazy journey... keep it up, you're doing great!

  4. hey! i have 7 point something CCs in a 10CC AP band. it took me nine months to get restriction because my doctor gives very conservative fills... it's okay, though, because once i finally hit my sweet spot i was good to go! as far as exercise goes, i'm really inconsistent.. i'll go several months exercising regularly (not A LOT, but a lot for me.. maybe 3-4 times a week, 45-60 minutes cardio, 5-10 minutes resistance training..). then i'll go several months where i don't really exercise at all, but i try to stay somewhat active -- walk to the grocery store, walk around the mall, etc. i'm not at ALL a poster child for healthy exercise habits, but i justify it by reminding myself that whatever i do to lose, i'll probably have to do to maintain, and i can recognize that i'm just not a really good exerciser, and i probably never will be (as much as i'd love to be). sorry you asked, huh? :)

  5. thank you!! i had my surgery just over a year ago and have lost 75 pounds since then, 110 pounds from my highest. it's been a long journey, a crazy ride! thank you for your sweet comment!

  6. hey, thank you for your sweet comment! we are just about a year apart.. my surgery was january 3rd, 2008, so i'm just over a year out. my highest weight was 280, my banding weight was i think around 245, and my current weight is 170, with another 20-25 pounds to lose. it's been a long journey and has required a lot of patience, but i'm totally thrilled with my choice and have really enjoyed the ride! congratulations on your surgery and keep us posted -- you're doing great!

  7. thank you so much! :)

  13. hey! oh my god, i'm so floored by your sweet comments. i've mostly lurked on this board before and just started posting, so i don't even know if i'm following proper LBT etiquette by posting back to you in your visitor messages (or am i supposed to post in mine? or in a PM? or, or?) but i'm so ecstatic because of your compliments that i don't even care. i frankly think you should realize though that you're looking totally amazing yourself!! you're TOTALLY ready for your side-of-the-bus pictorial!! in that cute red suit no less. congratulations on your success!
