Brandelyn5 reacted to lsereno in Is the sleeve safe long term?
The question is: Can you maintain the loss without the sleeve? For me, I couldn't lose weight period. I got under 200 using hypnosis, but even with weight watchers I struggled to get to 200 and my weight crept up again quickly. I had a raging hunger that I could not control. Over three years out and more than two years at goal and I have no regrets.

Oh I feel just like all of you...a mess of emotions, lol. My surgery is Nov 7th. I joined the FB group for Oct/Nov surgeries so hopefully we can all talk & share more there.

Surgery went well. I was in alot of pain last night after surgery but am feeling much better today. Ive been up walking around all night and morning. It does help with the gas pain in the chest and back. It is a little uncomfortable to eat or drink anything but they said that that would get better.

Brandelyn5 reacted to BigGirlPanties in Starting my 10 day liquid pre-op diet tomorrow and I'm freaked out!
The first couple of days were the hardest, as your body does it's detox thing...but then I was fine, and appreciated the cleansing...no diet cokes was the hardest... but haven't touched carbonated beverages since my pre-op and I'm good ... I know I've said this before, but I find (for me) if I'm having a tough time of it and feel I NEED something, I go to a hot beverage (decaf tea/broth) and sip slowly and that seems to do the trick to get "over the hump"...good luck...you've got this!

You will be amazed at how well you will do in just 1 week. Just sip, sip, sip your Water and get as much Protein in as you can. Also follow your surgeon's rules and you should do fine. I had my surgery on 9/13 wearing a 16pw pants. Tried a size 12p pants on this morning and they fit. Amazing and all with no hunger. You got this.

Brandelyn5 reacted to LipstickLady in I actually asked myself.. is this really worth it?
Thank you for making me think about this. I've not read all the replies but I will.
So, here's my thought on the OP. Even if I gain every pound back. Even if, in ten year's time I am twice as big as when I started, I have had the best freaking year of my life. SKINNY. I've done mud runs with my kids. I've earned my black belt. I've bought clothes and shoes and HIGH boots. I've Zumba'd without flopping, I've done 5ks without dying, I've shopped recklessly.
I've danced, I've flirted, I've been flirted with. I've been called a MILF, a hottie, I've gotten whistles and cat calls. I feel GREAT about me for the first time in a long time.
Even if it all goes away, i will relish the times I've had and the times I will continue to have while I am thin.
