    Support and motivation

I agree with Miss Mac - no processed foods! Only fresh. Also keep in mind that muscle weighs a lot so you may not be loosing because you are gaining muscle with your workouts.

    Getting sleeved tomorrow!

Good luck! You won't regret the decision :-)

    Am I eating enough?

You sound normal to me. That is how I felt around that time too. You will slowly be able to get more in. Just keep up with the protein shakes :-)

    Post-op periods

My period was 3 months late after my surgery. The cramps for horrible! So bad I actually stayed home from work one day (I never have to do that). We will see what the next period brings.......

    Constipation

Smooth Move tea - it tastes good and moves you along. Granted, you will probably go 2 or 3 times from one cup and it takes a few hours to get working. I drink mine at night before I go to bed when needed and then I am ususually going to the bathroom by the time I wake up.
  6. Gallbladder removal isn't standard. I still have mine. I would ask your OBGYN about the discharge.

    First Soft Food?

    Mine was yogurt.

    Gas - Surgery Date 3/31

I am 3 months out and I burp every time I drink water. I just let it out quietly so I don't have to worry about gas X. I am pretty sure you can't OD on it. That is what they told me after my surgery.

    Low calories!

If you are getting in all your protein and water I wouldn't be worried about the calories at all. I am 3 months out and I still can't get all my protein and water in!

    Back to work

I have a desk job and assumed I'd be okay to return to work after one week. I wasn't ready but had to go back anyway because I didn't file FMLA paperwork (since I assumed one week would be good enough). I really wish I would have taken two weeks off. If you can, take two weeks!
  11. The shoulder pain is gas. I had it for almost a week post-op. I had a really rough time the first 10 days or so. Just know that each day you get through is one day closer to you feeling great! You just have to keep going......sip Water as much as possible, take your Vitamins, do Protein shakes in small amounts all throughout the day. Hang in there!

    Puree food ideas

I actually ate baby food sometimes when I was in your stage. I had to add a bit of salt to it though. Any type of babyfood that has some Protein it it and very soft chunks or noodles. I can't remember if it was stage 2 or 3. I also still enjoy baby applesauce and I'm 2 months out.

    Popcorn and nausea

I have been dying to eat some popcorn. Haven't dared to yet though since I am only 2 months post-op. I hope you feel better soon!

    How old are/were you?

I was a month from my 39th bday.
  15. How long did you wait before you had any alcohol? Did the effects set in quicker? I am only two months out and I know I won't try any time soon. I'm just hoping I don't have to wait a year. Thanks!
  16. There are a few different blenders out there for smoothies. Vitamix, Ninja, Magic Bullet, Cuisinart, etc. Which one have you found that works the best for making smoothies? I have a regular Kitchenaid blender that works okay but it is big and annoying to wash out the pitcher (if that's what you call it) all the time. I would like to get one of the compact units that makes the smoothie directly in the cup you can drink out of.
  17. Is there anyone here that went through True Results - the Duluth (Atlanta Area) location?

    Surgery date

I wasn't assigned a surgery date until I had an approval from my insurance company. My guess is that they will call you once that approval comes in.
  19. For my 2 day pre-op liquid diet I could have Protein shakes, sugar free Jello, sugar free popsicles, 100% fruit juice, Water, water + sugar free flavorings. Oh, and broth. It sucked but I did loose 5 pounds that weekend.

    No BM in two weeks?

Smooth Move tea did the trick for me.
  21. I was in and out within 6 hours so I didn't need to bring anything with me. I wish I had known how painful the gas pains would be when I woke up. My left shoulder and neck were killing me! Also, I wish I had taken two weeks off work instead of just one. Lastly, the drainage tube is sooo annoying but it didn't hurt a bit when they removed it. Good luck!

    Hi I'm new!

I have BCBS and they did not contact me. I had to hear from the doc's office that it was aproved. Good Luck!

    Time off post op

I took one week off but I now wish I would have planned to take 2 weeks.
  24. Thank you so much to everyone who has responded. Today is a new day and I actually feel a lot better than yesterday. I still have some gas to work out of my system but I am walking a lot to get rid of it. And I ate soup yesterday! Granted it was about 2 tablespoons worth but it felt so good to actually "eat" something. Thanks again!
