I was wondering about the stomach/pants issue also and I just hit 4 weeks out and everything started falling off. Didn't think about swelling! Thanks guys and gals!

I, too, can eat anything...I did over eat last night and I won't do that again. My stomach said stop and I went a bite or two more and boy, did I regret it!! I am 3 weeks out and I eat chicken, ribs, just about any Protein I can get my hands on the portions are just WAY smaller than what I usually eat. I am still losing the weight so things are going great...

I am 10 days post op, haven't had any pain or nausea. I have lost 12+ lbs already, have been pulled off one of my diabetic meds, my cholesterol meds and am taking 1/2 the blood pressure meds... I would not change ANYTHING at all. I am loving life and ready to see the new me at the end of this journey.

I was wondering about choc Protein shake...I'm not a chocoholic but I hear the Premier Protein shakes from SAMs club are good...

I wanted the lap band a year ago when I started looking into WLS but many people have probs with it...a friend of mine had Gastric Bypass and her reasoning was she wanted something permanent....that made more sense to me than putting something that could slip and possibly need removing later...it would make all the weight loss and pain of surgery a waste...I only like to do things one time...just me

My 2 week pre-op liquid diet started March 2nd and the week before I had all my favorites; pizza, Mexican, Chinese and Indian. I called them my food funerals. I am on day 4 of my liquid diet and after the first 2 days it's been a lot easier. Congratulations and good luck.
I did the same thing! Mexican, Chinese, Mexican, Italian...smaller portions but I needed to do that...for me.

I haven't been on pain meds since the day after surgery. Surgery March 3, meds (morphine) March 4, nothing since...I think I am doing well...no pain, no nausea, hopefully it stays this way...
I think each person reacts differently...or at least our bodies react differently to surgery..

April 13th I'm excited, nervous, scared and anxious all rolled up into one big ball of nerves!!!
Yep, that! ^^^^ I'm March 3rd, so I'm a few days post op and it has been great...Congrats on starting this new path!

Try this pancake. So relish, and easy to make. It will make 2-3 pancakes, and I can only eat one so I have enough for next day breakfast!
1 banana
2 egg whites
1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tbls of PB2 (optional, but adds lots of flavor)
Mash banana well. Whisk egg whites, add baking powder, PB2 powder and mashed bananas. Pour on hot griddle! Enjoy! I can't eat butter, so I use a little bit of Bremmel and Brown yogurt spread and a tiny bit if Syrup.< /p>
Newbie question...what is PB2? Thanks in advance.
