  1. I am soo excited for u!! DH and I decided to run a 10k at Disney world in Feb 2016 and we are beyond excited! We have just started training and I am sore but HAPPY! Congrats on your placing!! I am just hoping to finish!!

  2. I wanted the lap band a year ago when I started looking into WLS but many people have probs with it...a friend of mine had Gastric Bypass and her reasoning was she wanted something permanent....that made more sense to me than putting something that could slip and possibly need removing later...it would make all the weight loss and pain of surgery a waste...I only like to do things one time...just me

  3. My 2 week pre-op liquid diet started March 2nd and the week before I had all my favorites; pizza, Mexican, Chinese and Indian. I called them my food funerals. I am on day 4 of my liquid diet and after the first 2 days it's been a lot easier. Congratulations and good luck.

I did the same thing! Mexican, Chinese, Mexican, Italian...smaller portions but I needed to do that...for me.

  4. I haven't been on pain meds since the day after surgery. Surgery March 3, meds (morphine) March 4, nothing since...I think I am doing well...no pain, no nausea, hopefully it stays this way...

I think each person reacts differently...or at least our bodies react differently to surgery..

  5. Try this pancake. So relish, and easy to make. It will make 2-3 pancakes, and I can only eat one so I have enough for next day breakfast!

    1 banana

    2 egg whites

    1/2 tsp baking powder

2 tbls of PB2 (optional, but adds lots of flavor)

Mash banana well. Whisk egg whites, add baking powder, PB2 powder and mashed bananas. Pour on hot griddle! Enjoy! I can't eat butter, so I use a little bit of Bremmel and Brown yogurt spread and a tiny bit if Syrup.< /p>

Newbie question...what is PB2? Thanks in advance.

  6. I took a 12 day trip to Disney world 8 weeks after surgery and did fine. I made sure to bring my Water and Protein and it was a great trip. As long as you plan well to stay hydrated and get your protein in you should be able to enjoy! Have a great trip.

I am headed to Disney World for 7 days at 8 weeks out. We have the dining plan so we are keeping that but I think I should be ready for it. Any advice would be great...oh, GB...

  7. Also going to get a small spoon (probably baby spoon) to remind me to take small bites/sips.

I bought myself a set of appetizer utensils made by Fiesta (I collect Fiesta) to remind myself to take small bites...tiny forks, spoons, and knives...I can't wait to be able to use it!!
