found out this morning I am now in wonderland!! lost 11 lbs. since my surgey date 2 weeks ago. and 40 total since the journey began. congrats to everyone else!

I am there now too!! feels great. just weighed in at 193. good luck to everyone.

looked for your thread and coulnt find it. any words of wisdom.

i was about to make a similar thread. banded on nov 27th and I am going on a cruise in just 7 days [dec 16th]. the cruise was planned months before the surgery as I would have liked to have more time to heal.. stiches arent even out yet. ive called carnival [my cruise line] and they said they could puree anything and were willing to do what ever they could to help. that was comforting.. but still- cruises are all about food. Iam interested to see how everything goes. there is a gym on the boat that I plan on using. but the temptation will be loud everyday.

oh I love this thread. it is nice to meet all of you! my name is Lindsay and I turned 25- 17 days before I was banded in Bloomington, Indiana. born and raised in Houston, Texas and moved to Bloomington 7 years ago for college. as of now I am a manager and bartender at the hottest sportsbar in all of Indiana.. so staying away from the fried bar food is going to be hard [ive been great so far]. my watch has gotten so large. I can almost slide it off without unlatching it.

yay!! congrats. I get my stiches out on dec 11th and hope to be at onederland then. at surgery I weighed in at 204. so I think it is very possible. good work!

I want to be healthy. and hot!

i told all of my family members and family friends who live in my hometown. however, where I reside I have only told 5 people. 5 people that i eat most of my meals with. eventually i will tell everyone. but i want to get results. to me: the only thing worse than having to have wls is to not lose any weight after having it. good luck to all!

i get my stiches out on the 11th of december. so I will ask my doctor then.. but how soon did yall start working out after surgery? how was it? i got myself a membership to curves and am looking foward to working out 5-6 times a week. i feel if we went through surgery we mine as well do all that we can to drop the pounds. so nice to have these forums.

i was banded on the 27th. soo close! I feel really great. been walking around [even some outlet malls 2 days after]. am amazed by how little food we are all eating. or i mean. drinking. I am still sore- but am able to sleep through the night, drive, and tomorrow I go back to work. so excited to be on this road with all of you! good luck!!!!to all

I havent experienced any discomfort with ice cold things yet. my brother who had it done over a year ago says he only likes hot liquids. it hasnt even been 7 days yet. so that could have something to do with it.

i was just told to eat light the week before. but I still ate lots on thanksgiving which was 5 days before surgery. well not lots. but i did have some of everything. perhaps it depends on the size of your liver to start with. my surgeon said I had the best looking liver he has ever seen. which is not sayign much considering I am a manager and bartender at a bar. hmm? I am on post op liquid now and drinking ensure cut with Water. the latte flavor is actually very tasty with some ice and water mixed in. i woudl recomend that.

I live in Bloomington and was just banded by Dr. Ray on nov 27th. even though I was working since march to have the surgery I am so glad the way his program requires a ton of education. I feel very prepared to live with the band. congrats and well wishes to everyone!

not sure what instrument I am playing yet... hi, I am Lindsay and was banded nov27th in Indiana. not even a week into this, but I feel a lot better and less hungry. since march I have lost 36 pounds [preop classes and diet] and weighed in at 204 on my surgery date. before I knew my surgery date I planned a cruise. it takes off on dec 16th. do yall think I will be okay with eating? pain? etc?
