I need some help! My story goes...lost 59% of excess weight...255 down to 170...at 6 month post op checkup. A month later surprise I'm pregnant!! Only gained 16 lbs and had a wonderfully healthy sweet baby boy (child #3!) . I am now 18 months post op and weigh 167. I picked up bad eating habits due to nausea. I am now trying to get back on track to lose my last 27 lbs and need a jump start. Any suggestions or support you can provide would be most appreciated!!!! Thanks !!

How is everyone doing? I am worried because I am 21 weeks prego and have only gained 2 lbs and am struggling to gain more. Eating makes me nauseous. I was told by my surgeon to see a high risk OB and I did and she cleared me to stay with the midwives that deliver at my other 2 kids! So I'm very happy about that!

How did everyone's pregnancy go? I am struggling gaining weight. I am 5 months pregnant and 11 months post op.

I am 4 weeks pregnant, 7 months post op and very worried about complications since I didn't wait 18 months. Totally not planned! Dang antibiotics!
-
Soooo strep throat, antibiotics and one not careful night = pregnant 6 months post surgery. I have lost 61% of my excess weight already. I'm worried since they told me miscarriage risk is high since I am not far enough out from surgery. Anyone else in my shoes or been here? How did it go? I have 2 kids currently so no trouble in the past. I need encouragement!

I was doing so good for the first two months and now I find myself snacking and craving junk. A couple Cookies here and a few cheers there. Help! I need some support to get back on track. I had surgery may 28th and have lost 60 lbs since then and still have 65 left to go.

At 9 weeks I am down 47lbs!

Has anyone noticed a loss pattern? I alternate my weeks between losing 2 lbs and 5 lbs.

It gets so much better!! I feel amazing! I felt like you but about 10 days post op I started feeling better
-
Does anyone have a post sleeve cookbook recommendation?
-
I officially hit 30 lbs in 30 days post op!! I hope the progress continues this well!!!

you are still losing well!!I just had surgery May 1 so almost two months and feeling good but I am afraid I'm over eating because I don't have any of the fullness pains. I have lost 36 pound so far plus 14 pound before surgery. Like I can eat a whole yougert for lunch and 4oz of chicken or salmon for dinner. Others I know still can not eat this much and feel sick after eating.
I'm I stretching my stomach??

hi! Can you tell me what comfort and unhealthy foods you redid and how?
Thanks, actually it's been several years at goal. When eating out, it's fairly easy to ask that food be prepared without flour/cornstarch or fat/oil of any kind. I always specify this, as even if you ask for grilled, they may still cook it in oil or butter, sometimes adding that it's for medical reasons. (it sort of is, as obesity is unhealthy)Most places will accommodate. Chinese food is VERY easy, order something that's veggies & lean Protein and ask that they use no oil or cornstarch and you can even get the sauce on the side so that you control the amount. Moo Shu is one of my favs@TheRealMeIsHere!
Thanks -- you seem like you'd done great! Congrats on reaching your goal (even if it was a few months ago) =)
I'm so nervous about carbs. My family gets take out a lot and my friends go out to eat a lot, and every time I've looked at a menu since surgery, it seems like everything is full of carbs. I love cooking, but I commute for almost 3 hours a day so it's difficult to do every night.
Most places have grilled chicken, beef or seafood. I often order a small salad with one of those options. As far as the fish tacos, you can ask for grilled fish, no tortilla and salad. Or just the protein portion of an entree with no potato or bread.
Ruby Tuesday has great options & a wonderful salad bar. In the beginning, I would get a skewer of shrimp and explain that since that was my meal, could I please get salad bar at the add-on price, since I couldn't eat much anyway.
Most places will do omelettes with egg substitute or whites, add some non-starchy veggies and maybe a side of salsa, YUM!! Then, again, I ask that they use no oil/butter and do not give me toast or potatoes. If they are there I will eat some of them!! So, it's easier to not have them staring at me, lol!
When you do have the time to cook, you can reinvent your favs. I have recreated all my unhealthy favs, comfort foods and family favorites, to fit my new way of life. ALL the taste and satisfaction NONE of the fat or carbs. I can share some if anyone is interested
You are doing great, you will be fine. Enjoy this, wonderful new life, embrace it, get creative!
