    Time off work?

I'm having my procedure done next Wednesday and I only took off for two weeks. My off time starts on Monday the 16th. Having surgery on the 18th. And going back to work on March 2nd.

    Liver shrinking diet

I'm on day 4 of my pre op liquid diet. And I HATE it!! I feel the same way. I'm hungry, stomach grumbles constantly. But I find that chewing on sugar free gum helps. Also, I have a sugar free Popsicle in between my protein shakes. That helps too!

    2 Week Pre-Op Liquid Diet

It's definitely hard. But just remind yourself why you're doing this in the first place! And I totally agree, weigh yourself and it will make you feel better. I'm on day 4 of my liquid diet and half cheated once. But I felt horrible about it. And now I'm stronger mentally than I was in the beginning. My procedure is on February 18th and they only have me doing a 10 day pre-op liquid diet. Good luck! You can do this! Just stay strong and focused on your future success at weight loss!
  6. My goodness gracious! You look AMAZING!!! I hope my progress is as great as yours!! I have a goal amount of 90 lbs. I hope my skin isn't super loose all over. I don't really care much about my stomach area. But I really really hope I dont get those "bat wings" loose skin on my arms. Any tips on ways to help skin stay firm?! Or as firm as possible??
  7. Congrats!! You look awesome. Keep it up! Hopefully my weight loss will be just as great as yours after my procedure next week!

What is Your Goal Weight at 5'5

    I'm 5'5" (actually 5' 4 1/2") and my current weight is 226. Goal weight is 130. But I would settle for 145.

Vegetti! Paid like $15 at Walmart works great!
  11. Great! I'll message you my number and email. Feel free to text or email me any time! I answer texts quicker than I do phone calls. Lol. My bmi is currently 37.5 I'm 5'5" tall. And as of right after New Years, I weighed in at 226. Current weight could be the same or a bit lower since I have been on this liquid diet. I'm not sure. And my goal weight is 130. Actually, I don't even really have goal weight. I just want to look good and feel good about myself! I'm not even looking to being skinny. I'm just tired of always being the fat girl everywhere I go!

    Hey everyone! New here!

Jen!! Welcome! Where are you going for your procedure? Who is your doctor? My 14 month old son is also super active!! He gets bored easily and always needs to be stimulated. So I'm worrying about that as well. My neighbor and close friend will be watching him while I'm away. And for a few more days after I get back as well. But I didn't tell her what I'm getting done. Just said I had some complications since I had the baby and the docs were going to fix it (technically didn't lie!! I had a weight problem since I had my son!!! Lol). And she didn't bother to ask me for any details thankfully. But anyways, yes!! Girl, the way I see it, we are already on the losers bench!! And I couldn't be happier already.

    Hey everyone! New here!

I would love to add you as a friend on here!! But I don't know how to do that. Lol.
  14. I'm flying in from Houston with one stop in Phoenix. And then flying back on the 21st. Good luck on your procedure! Maybe if we're both up to it, we can meet up!!
  15. Now, please excuse me if this is a stupid question. But I have been wondering, if I'm paying for half my procedure in cash and the other half with my debit card, so I need to do any sort of money exchange? Lol. Like will my U.S. Dollars work or what? Once again, I apologize if this question is super dumb! I've never been to Mexico before, let alone Tijuana! Or even the west coast! Lol.
  16. Hello everyone! I'm having my VSG in Tijuana next week on February 18th with doctor Verboonen. Sheri Burke, his patient coordinator is awesome!! She keeps in touch with me through email, phone calls, texts and answers any and every questions I have. Anyone else going to be in Tijuana from February 18th to the 21st??

    Hey everyone! New here!

Awesome! What doctor did she use (if you don't mind sharing?) I'm excited to see how my results will be. This is whole new chapter to my life, as it is to many of you as well!
  19. I totally understand! I'm keeping mine a secret as well. I brought the idea of weight loss surgery up to all my friends and family last year and EVERYONE was against it. They said things like "it's cheating!" "Just lose the weight with diet and exercise" "that money can go towards a really good personal trainer" My point is, obviously, if anything else worked (and believe me, I've tried EVERYTHING! I've probably spent more money altogether over the last 8 years on different pills and programs and diets than I am on my procedure alone) then I wouldn't need weight loss surgery. Sometimes, something's, you just have to do on your own. YOU know what's best for yourself and your body. So go ahead and do what makes you happy. As far as support, site and groups like us over here will ALWAYS be here for you. I'm new to this website (I actually signed up today) but I have already gained so much knowledge about the weight loss surgery world. And so many of my doubts and fears for my upcoming gastric sleeve (February 18th) has been cleared away.

    Hey everyone! New here!

You're absolutely right. Wow, I didn't even think about "luggage" on my flight back from San Diego AFTER my surgery. How am I even going to get my carry on stored away in the compartment over my seat on the plane?? Lol. Oh Lord!

    Hey everyone! New here!

Oh my goodness! That helps soooooo much!! Thank you thank you thank you!! Because I'm the kind of person who over packs for everything every time. But since I'm also going by myself, I didn't want to take a bunch of things. Anyways, thank you! I'm proud to be in this losers club. ????

    Hey everyone! New here!

Thanks! I was worried because I read on here that quite a lot of people went on 2 week, even 3 week pre op diets, and mine is only 10 days. So I figured I didn't have any room at all to cheat. But I'm glad to know that one setback won't possibly hurt my chances to going through with my surgery. I'm definitely going to stick to my diet! I've waited for this for too long for it to not happen next week!

    For my 20 something ladies!

Oh no. Now I'm worried. I'm scheduled for a vertical gastric sleeve next week on February 18th. I'm 26 years old, 5'5" tall and currently weight 225 lbs. I'm currently a 42DD in bra size and wear size 16 in tops and 14 in pants. I don't want super saggy skin all over! ???????????? what can I do after my surgery to prevent my skin from sagging as much as possible?? I guess other than saving up every last penny for cosmetic surgery?

    Dr. Louisiana Valenzuela –

I'm having my procedure done in Tijuana next week! Although the doctor I'm using is a different one. Dr Verboonen. And the cost is around the same like $4600. Just like Rebecca said, I used the Mexico baiatric center website and they get you started with everything.
