Hey yall. Some know me some not. I started driving over the road recently. It has been a huge change for me. It is hard being away from kids and wife. I miss them so. My eating has been under control. I'm learning to cook in the truck. I plan on doing more low carb Snacks and I generally eat a salad and Soup for dinner. I walk every night I'm on the road for at least 30 minutes. Tonight I purposely parked @ one truck stop and walked up to another that had a fresh salad bar ate and came back to truck then to shower. All total about 2 miles. @@s_suther I was thinking of you the other day. I had a load to Piney Flats TN . I know that be near ya somewhere. Hope yall are rock in it..

@@s_suther thanks for the reminder and the great ideas. It is gonna take time to adjust to life on the road. I was thinking of trying to cook ground turkey in my crock. I also have a Burton lunch box oven. May try it as well. I got home yesterday for about 18 hours. I'm in Louisville waiting to unload at the Ford plant now. Hope to be home Saturday morning. Gonna take a good long walk tonight. The weather is good around here FINALLY!

Good morning all. Eating yesterday was minimum. I had some nuts and a couple of sweet things. I was driving hard all day. I got a couple short walks in. I'm in Chicago to make a delivery. Wish me luck!

Hey ya'll! Glad to hear from all of you! It has been crazy up in here! Back in November I lost my job. Two days later I lost my papaw. It was a rough weekend for sure. I got a job right away, but it was just one to get us through the winter basically. That said I just started a more permanent job three weeks ago. It is not exactly what I'm used to as I will be out on the road away from my family more. The fact is I'm writing this from my sleeper in Northern Indiana. I kinda figure a new chapter in my life would be a good time to get back to it and check in. I'm really not sure how eating is going to go out here on the road. The only thing I have to cook with is a 12volt car outlet crock pot. I heated up some Soup last night.and it fit a fantastic job. Well I plan on getting up in a bit and go for a walk. Glad to hear you all working it.

Sorry yall have not been on all week. No binges. My back went out on Monday on my second load. Been at docs and layin round on ice. Nothing too exciting here. Back to work in the morning..
-
Sound off yall. The plan is not to binge and to walk a bunch. Pretty simple. I packed a reasonable lunch today. We are so broke, pretty sure if I stopped and tried to buy anything my card would be declined. So there you have a solid plan in place.

Today was just OK. No exercise. Eating was not out of control. My mom is coming up from Georgia and will be here for dinner Saturday. We have not seen her since June. I'm off to bed. See Ya'll soon!

Not the best day eating today. I am working an odd shift training drivers on a safety process. I have to do ride along observations and did not pack lunch bucket. So not much of a plan there. Grandpa is in good shape though he thinks he is coming home soon. The thing is he has no home that is good for him. He lived in a camper with no running Water. Pretty sad really, but he will not live with any of the family. Says he doesn't want to be a burden. He talked about grandma a lot today. She passes 2 yrs ago in the fall of the year. I know this is hard on him. WW 2 veteran married to the same woman for over 68 years. Trucked full time until he was 82 years old. They don't make em like that anymore. I am so fortunate to have him as my hero. So the plan is to get some sleep soon and spend time with wife and kiddos tomorrow.

So I am glad I am not the only one that didn't post yesterday evening. Yesterday was a bad bad day. It started out good. By 3p I had a ton of messages on my phone. One from my Mom saying she needed to talk to me. Another from my pastor saying we needed to talk. Another from my Cousin who is also the youth pastor at our church, saying we needed to talk. I am freaking out at this point thinking something happened to Jen and the boys, or that my 92 yo Gramps had died... Called my pastor first and he told me there was a meeting that evening and I needed to be there. Got ahold of mom and she was tore up because they found out my step dad has cancer. Finally to my cousin, and he informed me that he was forced to resign from the church. I was heart broken. I got home and ate and showered quickly and off to Church. DISCLAIMER: please do not think that the point of this post is to bash or badmouth the church, either my local church or the church as a whole... The fact is, working with sheep and sinners both saved and unsaved sinners is a messy deal. Of course my cousin was not invited to the meeting where his name was basic ran through the mud. There was other issues about other attacks on the church. We prayed and sought the Lord for guidance and dismissed. When I got home the "BINGE" started and texts and emails poured in. So in short my eating was derailed and once again I turned to food as comfort. Please pray for me and my family. And pray that I would be wise in the decisions that will need to be made about my family and where we worship and served. As for now I stepped down as a teacher in the church. I Love God's word and find it to be a huge privilege to be able to teach it. I'm just hurting right now. OK so on to the challenge set out by @s_suther . I am a good provider for my family. I am a reliable and safe driver with over 1.5 million miles under my belt thus far in my 15yr career. (talking about myself that way was a hrd thing for me). I hope no one sees it as boasting. Ok so It is a new day! I was suppose to go to the family doc and have my 6mo labs done. It turns out I have a sinus infection or something going on. I will see if she will get me my meds renewed and let me come back in a month. After that I am going to see my Grampaw. We had to put him in the veterans home and this will be the first time I will have visited him there. I got to talk to him a couple times and he really likes it there. Said he love that the girls let him take 2 baths a day in the Jacuzzi tub! lol Thanks for allowing me to vent a bit. Have a super awesome day!

Todays plan is pretty simple, don't eat the sink! Seriously though, Meals are planned and we will be walking while we load and unload. I got up and was going to hit the e kill before work. That's as far as that went... Hey it's 1am, cut me some slack... For sure after work. B- Protein shake and sausage patties L- pork tenderloin and green Beans fruit pack. S- summer sausage D- No idea yet This is a good week to get things moving! @@JustWatchMe I am about to drop a Physical challenge on you! Lets DO WORK!

Today was good until I got home from work. I think I didn't eat enough through the day. I was shaky my last load and light headed. When I got home I ate everything in the kitchen including the sink... I have work to do. hopefully tomorrow will be better. Is anyone gonna check in today? I have invited @@BandedDiva10 to join in for some accountability. Hope this helps her find the right thread. Sound off peeps!!!

I have been banded for over 7 years at this point. It seems that things change so much with the band. At least with mine. MOMENT OF TRUTH! I am not the poster child for lap band. I have lost and gained at least a bazillion pounds in that time. I was 210 at my lowest. I stay round 275 these days. Well it's time to kick it into gear, one last chance before searching out info for a revision. For sure I am the tightest in the morning. If I drink a cup of coffee or tea, I loosen up enough to take my pills. After that I can barley get anything through. Lately I have been sipping Water or SF lemonade letting the sip go all the way. Sometimes I time myself and only take a sip if the time is an even number. lunch has been small lately, but for years I'd fight and fight to get anything down. Usually regurgitating several times a meal. sometimes end up vomiting. By dinner I am able to eat a half a side of beef... My life is in no way a regular life. I drive truck and start between 3-4am, work way too many hours, eat on the go, get little sleep, and the stress level is out of sight due to the cargo I carry. I'm getting pretty tired of not being my ideal weight, so here we go again. I'm not sure if I'm asking a question here, or if I just curious of what others deal with. Feel free to tell me how your band acts from day to day. Thanks for taking the time to read this post!

I think that getting the fill you will HAVE to start with liquids and graduate up as before due to the fact you have none now. -

I tried to make a link but was unable for some reason. Just go to "General Weight loss surgery forum" and then to "maintenance forum" the thread usually will be at top as we check in daily (well most days)! -
On track thus far today. Meals are small and water good. Walked a bunch..

7 years banded, and still clueless... You?
bacon replied to bacon's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thanks for the insight @@cheryl2586 . I don't think I need to unfill, I need to get my butt in gear. I think I am irritated around the band causing trouble. Too many years I have abused the band, I'm talkin abuse, the way you abuse a $500 Honda Civic. I keep rereading @@B-52 post and it makes perfect sense. Back to the basics. -
Mornin yall. I have been moving this morning. Walking while I am loading and unloading. Meals are packed and are small. Hope we kill it today.. Check in please @@JustWatchMe . hope you are work in it!

Great points! Thank you! -
Congrats on making the appointment! I once went 4 years between appointments. Trust me, those folks at the clinic have seen and heard it all. It is their job to help you.

Today has been really good. I was up at 04:30. I decided to go for a walk. 3.5 miles! It was not planned for that far but well into it, I got thirsty and did not bring Water. The only thing opened in my little town was the mini-mart. The cooler door is exactly 1.75mi from my front door. So I guess it is a good course to train for 5k! I think I need to really need to get back to the basics. I guess I forget that I am a bariatric patient after time. WE do have special needs for our eating. I would love to hear if anyone else just flat out forget and start eating fast and big bites. I may start a thread on this topic. Eating today has been good. Let's hear from you peeps!
