  1. It is terrifying and exciting when it begins getting close! Went to Doc for 5month checkup! Hit the 45lb loss and he was so pleased! All markers in normal range! Off almost all meds. In process of cutting pills in half!!!! You will be so pleased when the big day comes! Let us know!!!! Reach out if you need anything. We are all here for you!!!!

  2. Tolar- hey there....what a scary story!!!! Hope you are feeling better!

When are you finished with all your pre-op steps???

Seems like you have worked so hard and stayed the course to

move forward to surgery!!! You have certainly done everything according to the book and followed the rules to the letter!!!! I am so very proud and excited for you!!!! Let us know so we can all cheer you on!

    Smiles, Linda

  3. Hey you!!! Hang in there....it does get crazy! I like the Aloe Vera juice plan!

My doc took the initial weight for Medicare so hopefully that works for you.

I did both procedure at one time outpatient. Then you only have to drink that awful stuff one time I am so pleased for you! I have not looked back one time! Feel great and love watching the scale going down.

    Smiles, Linda

  4. Hello everyone!

    I'm back! April 1 sleeve.

Everything is really going well. Down from 215lbs

to 183lbs????!!!!! Yes 32 pounds total! Back to playing

golf 3-5 times a week! Life is good! I am so very happy

with my decision. I cannot believe it!

  5. When I got the checklist from my doctor each thing on the list had to be completed. Several medical tests to be sure your stomach, esophagus gallbladder, and intestines were clear and functioning. Also a breathing function test was done. Each item was a checkpoint for your individual

Health situation as a preventative protocal to help prevent complications.

Your surgeon will help you through this!!!!

You are asking all the right questions!!!!!

  6. Congratulations All!

My sleeve was April 1....April Fools Day!

We all need to celebrate! Started driving yesterday.

I feel like I am free at last! Just kidding. Really impressed with everyone's

walking distances. I need to get back with the program! Been walking those 10-15 minute spurts! Think I need to increase my times.

Feel great....still losing everyday. Really exciting! Cause I know it WILL

slow down. Want to savor this honeymoon! Linda

  7. Yes I agree it was pretty awful! Just keep walking and smile a lot!

Keep them wondering what you're up to!! Do not go home til you are really ready. Keep pain at a minimum with the Meds! Best advice the nursing staff gave to me!!! Never let it get past a 5 on their "happy face" scale!

Let us know how you are doing!

    Linda

  8. What a huge disappointment for you!

    Like all other medical situations...get

another opinion. My first seminar 2 yrs ago

I was told I did not qualify...not heavy enough!

What a shock! Just keep researching.....talking

To others here...trying all the steps of pre-op!

    You will gain support here!!
