  1. I've noticed that different scales will weigh me at different weights...this drives me crazier then anything! I try to weigh myself! But it doesn't always work. My favorite time to weigh in is on Monday

    Just go at your own pace! Break up your walk into 3 walks a day . Just take it slow. Remember slow and steady wins the race

    I have found the fiber gummies work for me. I go about every other day by taking 2 a day. You can take up to 6 gummies a day.I also like fiber one protein bars. However I don't use these often because of the high carbs. Good luck!

    Movie time

    I've been to the movies since surgery and I have taken snacks from home, I brought water to drink. The snacks I brought included pepperoni, turkey sausage, and cheese. But I wouldn't do movie theater popcorn. It is unhealthy. If you want popcorn, then pop some at home and sneak it ion. Skinny girl makes 100 calorie popcorn.

    Also, try sugar free Popsicles. They have 15 calories in them, but I am getting over a nasty cold and that is what helped me.

  8. Hang in there! I had surgery on 2/13/15 and my pants are just know to the point where I can fit into them. But I'm trying to hold off a little while longer on. Using jeans/pants because I want to buy new spring/summer clothes!

    I had the lab bad on 2/13 and I'm starting to get a cold. I've been using halls Menthol cough drops. But they seem to have a lor of carbohydrates for only 12 calories. Should I be worried?

    I've found that fiber gummies have helped me. I found them in the aisle with the benifber. I wonder if anyone has tried fiber one bars. They make some with protein I'm them.

    I'm about 6 weeks post op from the lap band. I'm learning not to over think it when going out with friends. Everyone's suggestions I've done, from trying new foods at home to checking our menus at home to getting doggie bags. This is a learning curve for everyone. What works for one person might not work for you. We all have to figure out what works best for us. Good luck

    Eating in public

    I found this topic really helpful. I'm exactly one month out and have just started to go out to eat again with friends. I've told no one except my parents. This evening I went to a favorite restaurant with friends and got the soup salad combo with chicken on the salad. I just ate the chicken on the salad. I find it hard not to drink while eating.

    I had the lap band so I was only off work for 10 days but we had snow and on,y had to use one day. What are you having ?

    3 days out - protein?

    Have you tried broth and mixing in unflavored protein powered in with it. I had trouble the first couple of days getting in my water but that is ha I got in my protein. Also unjury protein has a flavor called chicken broth that you just mix with warm water that is pretty could and has 20g of protein. Best of luck!
  23. I think you are fine as long as you strained out the chucks. I did like @@Kindle did, I added unjury unflavored protein powered to it.
  24. I bought way to much stuff pre-op as well. I've got stuff left over. I'm 3 weeks post op.but I figured it was better to be prepared than under prepared. I agree with everything mentioned above...sugar Popsicles, broth, protein, milk, jello. I bought jello but never ate anyone of it. The Popsicles where my favorite thing,
