Hi... I am struggling emotionally and amazed at just how fast weight has gone up since my band was removed on May 8th. Almost nothing fits me and I had to go buy some fat pants. My weight is up about 20 lbs already and I still have 6 weeks until my sleeve surgery, so 4 till my pre surgery diet starts. So unhappy and feeling ugly and blue.

Yeah my first surgery buddy!! Happy. when do you have to start your pre surgery diet?

Hello. Anyone with the same or close surgery date wanna go through it together, share experience on here?
-
It is caused by dehydration
-
Can anyone share with me their pre surgery diet? I really want to see what I have to look forward to. You can email to me at avalonnotarypublic at yahoo dot com

I just want it to be July 14th already.

Has anyone experienced severe pain on the roof of your mouth when you eat or drink that lasts maybe 20 minutes usually. Roof of mouth feels swollen. This really hurts and I don't understand what it could be. Maybe dehydration?

Hello. I am having my sleeve on July 14th, or so it is scheduled. Hope to have some buddies to go through it with. Any July Sleevers out there?

I don't think everyone has to have endo as I never even heard of it.
-
Why are some of u required to have an endo? Did you have ulcers or something?

It dramatically reduces the complication risks by doing it in two operations. It gives your body time to heal in between. My surgeon would not consider doing it in one and he has a great success rate. He has had patients not take his advice and go to a different surgeon to have it done in one surgery and they had major complications. SO despite not wanting to wait for 3 months I think my life is actually worth taking his advise and reducing the risks and complications.
Well this does make me even more worried about the weight gain during those three waiting months till I get the sleeve. Removal May 11 and Sleeve August 3rd. I already feel like a house since I gained 30 lbs after removing Fluid from the band in hopes of not throwing up...alas I still vomit multiple times a day. I just want august to be here already.
Is there a reason they won't do the sleeve at the same time? Mine is being done at the same time...curious

My surgery is scheduled for August 3rd. The time cannot go by quickly enough. Would love to have someone to pen pal my way through this with. I think with the lap band I did not have enough support system. Trying to build one up for this surgery.

How do you know if you have a leak?
-
Don't give up home. I have read and read everything I can on this and the sleeve seems to be very successful without the stuff we had to go through with the band so i am ready...I just want the time to go by and to be on the other side of this. Gaining again sucks majorly but we will lose it all again too

My removal is on may 11 th. Don't get sleeve till August. You guys are making me feel excited for the change. Sine days I can't keep anything down. ..others everything stays down. ..I can't wait to get through the 3 months and get my sleeve.

Finally getting my band removed on May 11th after a couple of years throwing up every day several times a day. I have to wait till August 3rd for the sleeve and I am very stressed about those 3 months in between. I know I will gain alot and eat alot, but I simply can't go on throwing up and I can't go with nothing because I wouldn't be getting surgical help if I was able to do this without surgery, right?. Anyway I would love to have some pen pals on here to help me through this. I am worried about the gain in between and comorbities coming back. Everything I read on here seems to be pretty positive with the band to sleeve situation. My doctor will not do in one surgery to improve the risk factors. He has a great record and doesn't lose patients so I have to take his advice there.

Did you have two wait the 3 months before the sleeve after lap band removed? I get my band out in two weeks but no sleeve till August. Very worried about eating in those three months. I know me and I will eat like its the last time I ever get to. If I could do it on my own I wouldn't need the surgery. How did you deal with the 3 months?

I assume the staples stay in forever, does the cut actually heal causing the possibility of a leak to end?
