  1. To answer my own question, yes.
  2. My Doc gave me a script for B-12 injectables since I don't want to drive 3 1/2 hour round trip to his office everytime I need a shot (monthly). Are the B-12 injectables the same thing as methylcobalamin?
  3. I too would like one in the Henry County area. If I wasnt to attend a goup, I drive to Johns Creek where I had my surgery.
  4. Do a search on Google for gastric bypass before and after pics. All anxiety went away after looking at those because I knew it was going to be worth it. Good luck! We are here for you!!!
  5. I was ok until they rolled me in the OR but they gave me some happy drugs to calm me and the next thing I knew I was waking up in the recovery room. Long story short: you are going to be OK and you are going to be soooo glad you did it. Today is one month from when I had surgery and I have already lost 51 lbs. Yes... 51 pounds in a month.
  6. I like the Bariatric Advantage Vanilla flavor! :-)
  7. Ok so I am doing very well and entering week 2. During weeks 2, 3, and 4, I am supposed to to puree all of my foods. So is that basically just throwing the food in a blender and griding up as much as possible? Kind of like "pre-chewing" your food? LOL I decided to go vegetarian so it should be pretty easy to puree all my foods. It will mostly be legumes and the such.
  8. I'm noticing it calm down a lot now.
  9. That's a good idea...
  10. Dr. Hart @ Johns Creek
  11. I was already taking it before the surgery and was told to keep taking it.
  12. I had my Gastric Bypass 1/27. My stomach is constantly rumbling and it is loud. Is that normal? I am doing well with my stage 1 diet.
  13. Hi Everyone! My name is Christopher and I currently reside on the Southside of Atlanta in McDonough, GA. I just had Gastric Bypass surgery on 1/27/15 at Emory Johns Creek Hospital. The staff at the hospital was just awesome... they took excellent care of me and I couldn't be happier with the hospital staff and especially my surgeon - Dr. Christopher Hart of Atlanta Bariatric. It's also very important to recognize the people behind the scenes who you normally do not see - the surgery scheduler, the insurance coordinator, etc. I am 42 years old (born on leap year) and my starting weight was 355 lbs. I am on the stage one diet which consists on clear broths, nectar Protein drinks, sugar-free popsicles, sugar-free Jello, etc. I joined Bariatric Pal because I would like to make some new friends and be a part of a support group.
