  4. CTMAN!!!! Good for UUUUU!!!!!!!!

Congratulations.....Let the countdown begin!!! Keep pressing forward---it will be benefcial for you to start changing your eating habits NOW. Try eating meat (protein) first. Then eat veggies, and then if you're not full--add a carb.

Stop drinking 20-30 minutes before a meal. Don't drink during meals. When the meal is over, wait 30 minutes and then drink.

1/2 of the lapband battle is mental---change begins in the mind. "Be ye transformed by the renewing of you mind!!!"

    happy bandday to you

Thanks 4 thosw encouraging word Bigbaby. I'm pressing toward the mark of healthier living.

    Be blessed, CTman

  5. Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow!!!

I'm so happy to have found my brothers and sisters even here. I have allowed my temple to grow beyond a healthy place. I researched this surgery Oct. 07 & Nov. 07. After prayer I believed that this was what God would have me to do to regain control. I must admit I am concerned about the process but, we can do all things through Christ. I just want to encourage all of you that are contemplating and waiting for insurance companies and in the testing process to continue to PRESS TOWARD THE MARK...

All of your posts have been quite encouraging and I thank God for each and every one of you. Please keep me in your prayers as I pray for all of you.

  10. Good for you! You'll be a bander before you know it.

I wish our ins had paid for mine, but I don't regret paying to get it done.

I had another fill today. My fourth! On full liquids for two days and then soft for two days and then I'll try it out and see if this fill did anything. I really think it's going to take another fill before i get where I need to for it to last a while.

I am still tracking my calories and Protein and have found this to be very helpful during this time of little restriction and although the weight loss is slow, the scale continues to go down.

Once you have the surgery, I hope you'll join the group on the forum for the month of your surgery. (I know you're scheduled for March). I go on the November 2007 forum all the time and we share info about our fills, appts, hunger, food etc. It's great because while our weight loss varies, we are all basically at the same point post-op and we encourage each other, if we're going through a tough time.

Right now, our group is doing a Jan. to Valentines day Challenge. We each set a weight loss goal for the six weeks and each week we post our progress.

The threads for those ahead of you can be helpful too, so you know what might be coming you're way.

Congratulations on your approval. Let us know when you start the pre-op diet.

    Hi Shortgal,

This place has been such a big help to me with all of the support and information. You guys and gals are my new family and your stuck with me. I'll be sure to get to the March '08 group. Thanks for the advice, Chris

  12. Hey B, My wife aka MY RIB is a blessing to me everyday of my life, she was dead set against the bypass but, very supportive about the lapband. She is in good shape and is happy to prepare healthy meals rather than the soul food that I love soooo much of. I am definitely doing this for all of us.

Our church was on the Daniel fast the week before last and we had a week of refreshing services. God blessed us greatly all week long. We feasted last Sunday as well.

    Blessings, Chris

  15. GenaO, Best Wishes and I hope u have a painless and speedy recovery. I researched the Lap Band for 2mos. prior to going to the seminar. The doctor in Hartford comes highly recommended. Try to switch to someone who people really speak good of.

Sherona I am not a celebrity. I'm just FAT me tryin to get some support and support others up in here. I'm just waiting for my primary doctor to get my last blood test back that was taken yesterday, write the letter and fax it too my surgeon so that they can submit it to Anthem BC/BS. Have fun on your cruise and good luck with your banding. Please keep us posted on your post op experience.

  16. Praise The LORD!!!!!!

I am so happy to have found all of you here. I'm kinda new at this. After praying about a way to loose weight I researched the Lap Band for about 2mos. before going to the seminar. I have a few co - workers and church family that have had bypass surgery. I do have a couple family members that have been banded. So far I have done all of my check list appointments except for seeing my Primary MD to get my letter and EKG. Then it's hurry up and weight for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield CT. Im praying for God's favor and a speedy approval. I would like to have my surgery the week of March 3rd.

Congratulations to all of you that have dates and have already been banded, God bless and thanks for all of your good Godly support and band wisdom.

  17. Hey Shortgal, Happy New Year, Congrats on your fill, I had an 11:30 appt. with Dr. Ehrlich. It went great, he seemed surprised that I had seen the dietician and therapist already. After I saw him because I hadn't eaten anything. (I was too nervous to eat) I went and had my bloodwork done and had my gallbladder ultrasound. The only thing left on my check list is to see my primary care physician. I'll be seeing the doc on on Tues. 1/8/08 to get my letter and EKG. Then I'm done. I spoke to one of my co - workers and Anthem took about a week to approve them so hopefully I'll be given a date for the end of Feb. Thanks for keeping in touch. ~ Chris
