They are going to give me a little quiz about the post op diet stages and I will begin my Optifast for 2wk. diet. We are on our way to thindom and healthy living. I got my band date 03/04/08, my pre op diet begin on 2/14/08. 40 ish, 300.9lbs, 5'11", BMI = 41, (Optifast diet for 2wks. prior to surgery) 12/08/07 - Initial Seminar 12/18/07 - Therapist & Nutritionist Appts. 01/03/08 - Met w/ Dr. Ehrlich - Surgeon, Bloodwork, Gallbladder ultrasound 01/08/08 - Primary Care, EKG, more bloodwork 01/15/08 - Blasted the PC office so the Surgeon's billing dept. should have all of my paperwork. 02/14/08 PreOp appointment & 2wks. of Optifast Diet I will be getting banded at St.Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT. Hi Rachel, I have a told the co - workers tha I have a more than working relationship with and the others that I needed to tell something just know that I am having a personal surgical procedure and will be out fpr 2 weeks. I researched this surgery Oct. 07 & Nov. 07. After prayer I believed that this was what God would have me to do to regain control. I must admit I am concerned about the process but, we can do all things through Christ. I just want to encourage all of you that are contemplating and waiting for insurance companies and in the testing process to continue to PRESS TOWARD THE MARK... I got my call today (1/30/08) Anthem BC/BS of CT has approved me. My banding date is 3/4/08 :tt1: :tongue: :wink2: 10/07 - 12/07 Researched the Lap - Band 12/11/07 - Initial Meeting 12/18/07 - Therapist & Dietician Appts. 01/03/08 - Dr. Ehrlich Visit, Gallbladder Ultrasound, Bloodwork 01/08/08 - PC Visit - EKG,more bloodwork 01/17/08 - Called the Dr. to remind him to fax my letter and bloodwork to Kevin B. @ St. V's. 01/22/08 - Kevin left me a message that all of the paperwork has been submitted to BC/BS. Hopefully we should hear something in less than 2 weeks. 02/14/08 - Pre - Op appointment, Begin Pre - Op Optifast diet for 2 weeks. Good Luck to all of you guys that are waiting for your day. Hey B, My wife aka MY RIB is a blessing to me everyday of my life, she was dead set against the bypass but, very supportive about the lapband. She is in good shape and is happy to prepare healthy meals rather than the soul food that I love soooo much of. I am definitely doing this for all of us. Our church was on the Daniel fast the week before last and we had a week of refreshing services. God blessed us greatly all week long. We feasted last Sunday as well. Blessings, Chris

Oct 07 and Nov. 07 and finally decided that I have to live a healthy life. GenaO, Best Wishes and I hope u have a painless and speedy recovery. I researched the Lap Band for 2mos. prior to going to the seminar. The doctor in Hartford comes highly recommended. Try to switch to someone who people really speak good of. Sherona I am not a celebrity. I'm just FAT me tryin to get some support and support others up in here. I'm just waiting for my primary doctor to get my last blood test back that was taken yesterday, write the letter and fax it too my surgeon so that they can submit it to Anthem BC/BS. My co worker is being banded tomorrow morning. We work for the state and Anthem only took like 6 days to approve her. I would like to be banded on 3/3/08. Have fun on your cruise and good luck with your banding. Please keep us posted on your post op experience.

Praise The LORD!!!!!! I am so happy to have found all of you here. I'm kinda new at this. After praying about a way to loose weight I researched the Lap Band for about 2mos. before going to the seminar. I have a few co - workers and church family that have had bypass surgery. I do have a couple family members that have been banded. So far I have done all of my check list appointments except for seeing my Primary MD to get my letter and EKG. Then it's hurry up and weight for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield CT. Im praying for God's favor and a speedy approval. I would like to have my surgery the week of March 3rd.
