It's hard to believe it's already been a week-it seems time has gone so fast, yet soooooo slow! I've had zero pain or complications other than loose stools (sometimes frequent). I've lost about 10 pounds including the 2 that I gained from fluids in the hospital totaling 17 pounds total including my preop. I had lost 50 pounds on my own prior to seeing my surgeon for the first time. I have told no one that I had the surgery other than my husband and my parents. I did not tell my employer. I took two days vacation (last Thursday and Friday) and then went back to work on Monday. I didn't have much fatigue going back as I was afraid I might. I'm to the point where I can barely choke down another Protein Drink. My surgeon requires 2 Protein supps a day and 2 Meal Replacements a day (like sugar free carnation instant). I have no problem physically getting it down...it just----ugh. When I start to feel a little buyers remorse I look at pureed food recipes and have started making a binder of which ones I am going to try-it helps my mind to remember that this is just a phase and we will keep moving forward.
Also, when feeling a little buyers remorse, I head over to pinterest. I started a "secret" Dream Board so that I can pin things that remind me of why I decided to have this surgery. It has cute outfits that I always wished I could wear (you know-with boots and boot cuffs), pictures of amusement park rides that I can't wait to ride with my kids, pictures of airplanes so I remember that I'll never have to squeeze into another seat or be humiliated asking for an extension, and pictures of musicals and theatre, because my weight has held me back from some of the roles that I really wanted.
So here's to week 2-onward and upward (and thinward?)!!

I want to thank everyone for their advice and encouragement. I spoke to my husband about that comment today. I told him how shocked I was and how much it hurt. He said that he meant that seeing me in such a fragile state and knowing how much pain I'm still in, he is afraid to hurt me. Other than that comment, he has been wonderful during this process. Maybe I misinterpreted his comments, maybe not. I believe his explanation for now and we'll see. I remain focused on myself and the positive changes that I am making. Than you all!

Sleeved yesterday. Waking up was bit rough. Vomited all night even with 2 anti nausea meds. Walked 3 times already and just had my upper gi to check for leaks. Very minimal pain....mostly tired.

I returned to work today after being sleeved on the 12th. I took two vacation days to "help out with my kid's Valentine's Day parties". I actually feel fine. I have no pain other than an earache that I've picked up. Bending over is still slightly uncomfortable, otherwise I'm doing very well. I am SERIOUSLY craving some meat though--Iike I want to chew something in a bad way! Hoping things continue to be smooth sailing!

Thanks everyone. I haven't had nausea since last night. I've been able to drink broth and crystal light and had a bit of orange sorbet. Really have no pain which is the best surprise
Mostly just exhausted. Hard to stay awake
