Hi!
I'm 25, and have struggled with weight since puberty.

I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 16, but didn't grasp the concept of carbs being very bad for it.
I cut out carbs completely and lost a lot of weight, but as soon as I added them back in, even slightly, I was putting on more and more weight.

I've been on a steady increase of weight now since I was 18.

My PCOS consultant suggested a gastric bypass 4 years ago.  I went through all the ups and downs of trying to get it on the NHS, getting yes'd by the panel for funding and then my consultant changing - which meant I had to go private as they then said no to me having the op.

I've geared myself up now for it, and I'm going private - which is the best decision ever for me.

My op is next week now;  I'm scared and second guessing it, but deep down I know it's the right thing to do.

Any advice from others out there will be greatly appreciated!!
