    Help!

I agree with Elode. Just start from the beginning and keep a food journal. That can really make a difference.
  2. I told another manager at a manager's meeting and she kind of rolled her eyes and then in a real sarcastic, condescending voice said "hmmm that's interesting. Let me know how THAT goes" I just said well I'll tell you know that it's going GREAT! And I walked off.
  3. I'm in my first stall. So far it's been about a week. Started exactly at 3 weeks post op. I can't wait to see the scale moving again! It's driving me crazy!

    Alcohol?

Alcohol empty calories. I also was a major wino until about a month before surgery. Not worth starting again

    4 days post op

You have to remember in the hospital you are on strong pain meds and that's one of the reasons we felt so good. I hurt when I got home also. I do think days 4 and 5 were pretty hard. It will get better.
  6. I agree with Lester. I'm getting the protein just not the liquids.
  7. There's got to be another reason. Maybe the other surgeries are a little more complicated or he needs more time w you. Maybe he is going out of town. You can still drink your protein powder and it's just a few more weeks. Maybe you should feel good about his decision because he doesn't want to be in a rush. I know it's a let down but it will happen and this will just be a memory. Take care and stop over thinking things.
  8. The hardest part for me was that I blamed myself for putting me in this position. I kept asking why I did or didn't do this or why I eat this or that. It was also hard to admit that I was "morbidly obese" as I read so many times on my health record.

    REALITY CHECK

Well said! I'm at the end of my 2 week liquid post op phase that after my 2 week prepping means I haven't chewed anything for a month!!! I actually had a dream that I was sneaking stuff in my mouth just to chew it and taste the flavor! But is it worth it? Absolutely! Hard, but definitely worth it. Good Luck!

    Can't Sleep

Same here. I've been up for a couple of hours now and I'm tried, but can't seem to sleep. 11 days post op. Maybe it's a side affect from all the medications that are finally leaving our bodies.
  17. 52 and had mine on Feb 18. So excited!

    Sadness & the sleeve

I have a lot of anxiety and depression also. Anxiety Meds after surgery had to be split up into smaller pills so I could take them. Life gets difficult at times but remember we are all here together and just breathe you're not alone.

    February

OMG! My mouth is watering for those beans!! I'm 9 days post op and have to be on liquids for 2 weeks. Several more days!!

    4 More weeks! Say what?

It probably won't take that long. That's what they all say but it usually happens sooner. I was told it could take up to 3 weeks and I was approved in less then 2 days. Hang in there!
  23. I agree with LipstickLady. Dealing w insurance is never easy
  24. Don't cry! I so feel your pain! I'm 9 days out and I'm so tried of this liquid stuff I could just stuff my face w everything!! I'm not even hungry just want to chew!!! My depression is setting in also. I've been home all week recovering and now Friday night is here and my husband and kids are tried from being gone all week and don't feel like doing anything. Maybe I'll play on the Wii

DO NOT be disappointed in yourself!! This is a journey and there are going to be bumps in the road! Just let it go and get back on track. The moment of weakness does not define you or your dreams!
