  2. Hey all, I just advanced to full liquids today and I'm trying to drink the protein shakes I did preop. Unfortunately, every time I try, I am overcome with waves of nausea (this is my 3rd attempt this evening). I've seen a lot of you post about unjury. What's the best flavor to try? Is unjury easier to digest? Has anyone else had issues with their protein shakes postop? Thanks again.
  3. Thanks guys for the suggestions! I really appreciate it!!!
  4. Where do you find the Syntax?
  5. The shower in the hospital ended up feeling amazing. I had a lot more energy once I showered. I spent two days in the hospital and showered the day after surgery. I would totally take the shower if you can. It helps with pain and feeling normal again.
  6. I'm 3 days post-op and I'm having a hard time keeping up on my fluid intake. Does anybody know if Sherbert falls into the liquid post-op diet?
  7. That's a really good idea. I will try that. Thank you.
  8. Thanks guys. I tried the sugar free Popsicles. Those are good. I'm struggling with broth. It just tastes off to me. Crystal light has been going down okay. I'm just trying to come up with ideas for fluids. Thanks again for the input!

    64 oz of fluid

I was given a 24oz water bottle in the hospital that has a valve on it so you can't take big gulps. I'm trying to get 3 of those in a day! It's harder than I thought it would be!!! Sip! Sip! Sip!!!

    January Sleevers ❄️

My surgery was 1/20. I had a ton of issues with nausea immediately post-op and they hit me with Zofran and Ativan. I was pretty much snowed all of Tuesday. I was doing well in the hospital and walking frequently. The nausea had completely subsided. I was sore and pushing fluids. I was exhausted when I got home yesterday because they wake you up so often for vitals and other stuff. So, I crawled into my own bed and slept for 4 hours. Unfortunately, when I awoke I was super nauseated. This was the first bout of nausea since surgery. I tried to drink water and ended up retching instead. I have been in a lot of pain since. I'm taking Oxycodone and Tylenol for pain, but I'm struggling with exhaustion today. I can't believe how tired I am. I know I'm not getting all my fluids in, but I'm trying. I really want to get active, because I feel like a bum right now! My husband keeps telling me to relax and remember that I just had major surgery! I know he's right, but I don't want to be this tired!!! Here's hoping things improve soon. I'm feeling seriously wiped out. HW: 228 Pre-op: 222 SW: 207.4
  11. I've been on this website for a while. My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 9:55 am! I'm excited and nervous. I've struggled with the preop diet a bit and had a couple of cheats and ate some pita chips a couple days in. I have since gotten back on track and am on clear liquids today than NPO at midnight. I know I'm doing the right thing, but as I'm getting closer the nerves are rattling me. Need a little pep talk. Thanks!

    Milk?

The dietitian I'm working with is having me drink Fairlife milk with sugar free carnation instant breakfast. It's pretty good. The combo is 18 grams of protein in one cup!
