Newtree, I only had a week of preop diet. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I did lose some weight during that time, but not a ton. You can do this. I could have all the pickles/broccoli & cauliflower I wanted. So after my meals of what I had to eat, I'd have a bowl of those things
Thanks Graciesmom04! I have 16 days left! Friday was rough... it really was but Saturday was a new day and I feel more in control now! How are you doing?

AWESOME!!!! We are all going to be sleeve sisters!!! The weather here in KS has been crazy... one day super nice the next day snow! never know what you are going to get!
Have you started your pre op yet kdt23?
What about you Nikkidoodlebug, have you started your pre op yet?
I have to do a 4 week preop and it has been really hard! BUT I have lost 12 lbs so far in the two weeks I have been on it, so that is nice.. but I sure do miss chewing! (I do get to eat a little bit for dinner but only a little bit)

That is awesome that you were able to have it done on the same day! My husband had to be in hospital for 2 nights so I assume I will have to be in there two days too! I am really looking forward to do this with him. He has done great so far! 4 months yesterday and he is down 55ish!

My husband was sleeved on Sept 30th and he is doing great! Down a total of 55 lbs! I have been so proud of him. I have mine scheduled for March 11 and I am getting so excited! Just curious if there is any other couples out there who have both had it done? Oh we also have 3 kids!

I had my EDG done yesterday. The only thing she found was a small hernia and she will be able to fix that when she does surgery.

My surgery is March 11th! My husband had it on Sept 30th and is doing great! Good luck to you and your wife as you journey this path together!

My surgery is scheduled for March 11th! I picked this date because of spring break as well. I work in the interlocal office that pays the special ed staff and we get spring break off as well! I am so excited! Wishing you much success and can't wait to hear about your journey!

My name is Theresa but everyone calls me Tree! I am 42 years old and my surgery is scheduled for March 11th! My husband had his surgery Sept 30th and is down right at 50 lbs. He is losing slow but we are ok with that, he is losing and he has more energy than I have ever seen him have. (currently he is in the other room lifting weights - so proud of him)!!!! Just found this website tonight and so excited to be here! Looking forward to connecting and sharing my progress along the way! So far I have met with surgen, sonogram of gall bladder done, and met with nutrionist. I have psych eval, EDG, and heart clearance to go! Oh and the ever wonderful prediet! So far so good!
