I'm at week six and am down 30 lbs but had a stall at three weeks too. It will come off. I get discouraged thinking only 30 lbs in six weeks but I'd never have lost that much without surgery. It will happen!

I am still not getting enough liquids but every day I'm able to get more down. I find myself walking around with a bottle of Water or glass of water when home . . . All the time just to be mindful how important it is to drink enough each day. Surgery was the 18th. On Tuesday, I was down 18.8 lbs but I somehow gained back four lbs. I'm sure my body is just getting used to everything because there's no way I gained weight. There's so little going in my new tummy! I'm sure the scale and inches will work themselves out soon enough. So for the time being, I'm just going to thank my lucky stars for the blessing I've received!

Surgery went well. I've been walking halls and have managed to keep liquids down. Should be going home later today.

I'm here and surgery is scheduled for 8:30 this morning. Ready to get this party started! Prayers greatly appreciated! New life here I come!

Surgery on the 18th . . . Less than 48 hours away. Was on vacation so the pre op diet has been less than fun but knowing I'm almost there helps. Tomorrow is my liquid only day but surgeon says I can have Protein Shakes so I'm really not denying myself because they are filling and having broth in between helps. Ready to do this!

Day 2 of pre-op diet. Surprisingly not even craving sweets. It's national donut day and I was able to walk past them at work and not even flinch. Can wait for June 18t to get here. Ready for my sleeve and my new life!

Submitted on May 7th and approved on May 21st. It was two weeks exactly but I've heard others say it can be done quicker. I hope that's your case. I called every day but I don't think that helped. I would definitely call 24-48 hrs after paperwork is submitted just to make sure they got it.

My surgeon's office called me. I'm scheduled for June 18th. They wanted to do it the week of June 2nd but I'm on vacation the next week and I've already booked my trip so I couldn't cancel. I'm just so thankful to be at this point! Thank you for your encouragement and support! It is greatly appreciated!!!

I just found out this morning that I'm approved. It took two weeks to the day for Aetna to approve.

Congrats and good luck to you! I'm still waiting to hear from Aetna. My surgeon's office called Friday but when I called today Aetna told me they have until the 21st to make a decision. Praying for patience!

My paperwork was submitted to Aetna on 5/7 and as of today still pending. Trying to be patient. Guess we won't be one of those people that only took a week.

I have managed to stay busy all weekend but as the work week approaches I find myself thinking about the pending decision with Aetna. Thanks for all of the encouragement! I pray that tomorrow is the day I know one way or the other! Will keep you all posted!

Well, it's been one week and one day and Aetna still show my paperwork as pending . . . Guess it's time to relax, enjoy the weekend and pray I've got a favorable answer this upcoming week.

ALL OF MY INFO WAS SUBMITTED ON MAY 7TH AND I'M STILL WAITING TO HEAR WHETHER OR NOT APPROVED. THIS IS DEFINITELY THE HARDEST PART OF THE PROCESS (FOR ME). I HAVE CALLED EVERY DAY AND THANK GOODNESS I GET SOMEONE DIFFERENT EACH TIME BUT I JUST KEEP HOPING THAT WHEN I CALL SOMEONE WILL SAY "OH YES, YOU HAVE BEEN APPROVED!" I'M TRYING TO BE PATIENT BUT THIS IS ALL CONSUMING!
