I never had heartburn before the surgery. I have it so bad now that it wakes me in the middle of the night. I can't eat any seasoning or it fires it up. I can say that I'm on medication for it and it helps a lot

@@jane13 7lbs away from 100, that is great. I'm down 70lbs. My only issues are heartburn(I never had before) and I've thrown up a lot. I'm not sure if I'm not chewing slow enough or what but I go to see the doctor on the 9th.

Yesterday marked 6 months since surgery. I am down 68lbs. The picture on the left was last year. The picture on the right was taken yesterday.
I started at 236. Currently 168.

I think I need to get rid of my scale. I have stepped on it every morning since coming home from the hospital and I'm driving myself crazyI was on full liquids then. And I had no idea how much I had lost as I stayed off the scale entirely until 4 weeks out.

I tried that ricotta bake before surgery and loved it! Reminded me of lasagna and that was one of my favs. My kids even enjoyed it

I was still on full liquids for week 3, and really tired of them! Are you still on full liquids, or are you on purees?
I am on puréed foods. I eat Greek yogurt and refried Beans.

I am 3 weeks post op. What and how much were you eating at 3 weeks. Also, I've lost 12lbs since surgery, a total of 34 since the 4 week pre op diet. What did you loose by 3 weeks?
-
O, thank goodness! It is non stop for me at this moment in time. It drives me crazy! The funny thing is I've always hated to hear someone burp, I think it is so rude. It's now a slap in my face.
-
I will be three weeks out this Tuesday and all I do is burp! I go to sleep burping and wake up burping. Will it ever stop?

What is everyone eating now? And how much are you able to get in?

Today has been better than all the others, for sure. I never had any gas pains but the right side of my abdomen caused a lot of pain. I couldn't laugh, move around, etc. today that is even better. Still sore and can't cough but better. Getting in 48oz is the hardest thing for me. Most days I don't even make it to 30oz.

do you feel like you are too full to keep drinking the Water? I feel like my new stomach is an alien being with a mind of its own.....I am just not sure how much it can take. I even think I feel hungry - or I know the food triggers around my house keep telling me it is time to eat real food! Crazy.
I just keep reminding myself this is for the long run - and we will be able to eat normal food eventually.
I feel full but what's worse is that I keep burping and getting a quick, sharpe pain. I think it's my sleeve saying it's had enough when I get that pain or start burping. I don't feel hungry but if I see or smell food I do think I sure would like to have some. Like you, I'm reminding myself why I did this and where I wanna be ????

How much water/liquids are you getting down. Post op instructions say to get 64 oz, I'm lucky to get 30! Don't want to get dehydrated. Trying my daughters sippy cup today and that has helped get a little more down. Still getting painful hiccups if I drink too fast.
I'm right there with you. I can't get that much in. I was told to get at least 48oz or I would need an IV. I don't wanna get dehydrated either but I just don't see getting in that much possible.

I am one day out , looks like my surgery was less than 24 hours after yours. Monitor the pain ... Take any pain meds they gave you and walk walk walk and sip sip sip. I had a lapband removed, hernia repaired and sleeved. Walking seriously has helped. They inject a lot of air in your torso to do the surgery so walk to get rid of that. Also remember you have a major alteration to your stomach. Be careful And baby it for a few weeks. You will be so happy 2 weeks from now when you see how fast you are melting!! ????
You are absolutely right! I can't wait to see the progress in a few weeks ????
