  1. ok so yesterday morning I had to poop... as many of you probably know I have been having issues with constipation.. it is taking a while to get things lined out... so I am in pain with the need to go poo... off I go to sit on the toilet... phone in hand.. plop plop plop oh dear God... nope not gonna push... Holy shit this effin hurts... kerthunk instant relief.... it hurt so bad that my blood pressure spiked so fast and so high that I almost passed out... ears ringing, dizzy, fingers went numb... had to put the phone down so I didnt drop it.... blood pressure finally returns to normal... finish up... get up and turn to flush.... IT WAS THE SIZE OF A FRICKIN CUCUMBER! and not one of those skinny ass cucumbers... I thought I was gonna have to get a knife to cut it up... it almost clogged the front hole of the toilet.... no wonder I was clogged up.....

    TMI for the day!

    I am currently taking 1 senokot and 1 stool softener every night before bed.. haven't had a repeat of the cucumber incident!
  3. I am having major reflux lately. Just talked to my NUT today and was told to take Prilosec OTC once a day for 2 weeks.. and to let them know if things are better or not on Monday.. if not they will direct me to something else... I have the exact same feeling.. lump at base of throat.. feels like I need to puke... wakes me up at night... How long have you been on the Prilosec?? A quick call to your NUT/Dr might be in order...

    Talked to nut today and was told to get prilosec OTC and take one a day for 2 weeks.. Can't deal with it waking me up!

  6. I know it is TMI, but I am constipated.. I think.. I say I think because I haven't really pooped much in 3 days... BUT, I do not really feel like I NEED to poop... Normal or not?? I took 2 stool softeners yesterday and then again 2 more today.. still no urge to go... I have also been drinking diluted apple juice. anything else I should do? or just wait for things to get moving?

    BLERDgirl~ I am on normal foods.. I have all of the following: colace benefiber prunes metamucil miralax apple juice I am not getting many if any veggies in due to having to eat so much meat to meet the Protein requirement. I am gonna have to make sure that I get more in with adding Beans and stuff in. Thanks all! I know this is a challenge and have to find what works for me.. takes some getting used to and I am still in the beginning of the rest of my life!
  10. I was not weighed on surgery date.. they use my pre surgery appointment as my start weight.. I have considered my pre-op diet weight as my start.. mainly b/c IF I wasnt getting the surgery there was no way I was gonna be on Protein shakes for 2 weeks!

    Weight lifting

    My Dr just cleared me to go back to gym with no restrictions.. just recommended that I use lighter weights and less reps that what I was used to.. My surgery was on 12/16/14.. I think it depends on the Dr...
  12. I am on soft foods as of right now... I tried fat free refried Beans the other day and they were definitely a no go... but I seem to be able to eat pinto beans in Soups. any idea why I can eat one but not the other? it just seems really odd to me.

  14. I had my surgery on December 16th. So, as you can see, I'm really new to this! I finally got to the point where I just knew that I needed help losing weight because me trying to do it all on my own was just not working... I tried just about every fad diet out there.. while some worked for a while, I couldn't maintain that loss.. I pretty much had an addiction to food. I would work out 5-6 days a week doing everything from being a gym rat to doing crossfit. nothing seemed to work anymore. I finally took the plunge and started the whole LONG process this past August. and in a short time I was going under the knife. The pain afterwards was WAY less than I had anticipated. Pretty much felt like I had been doing abs at the gym for 12+ hours. I am not really sure if this is the "right" place to do my intro, but here it is. I'm almost 36 (in 2 days). Starting weight was 292.. I'm down to 263 right now.. but I lost quite a bit of muscle.. I am on soft foods, and am looking forward to a more "normal" diet regime. I have to be a bit honest... I thought that the weight would come off faster.. but a loss is a loss right? I am hoping to gain more muscle back to be able to lose more fat.. and hopefully will get cleared to go back to the gym next week after my next follow up visit. I hope to be able to talk freely here with you all. I do not have many people in real life that I CAN talk to that would even begin to understand the ups and downs.

    Odd food question.

    Thanks! They tasted sooooo good at the time! I havent had issues with other things that have sugar in them.. and I just checked they have less than a gram of sugar.. I might try thinning them out some with broth or Water... I also had an issue with egg beaters. I am gonna try regular scrambled eggs tomorrow... IF I can get the courage up to try eggs again right now... Not too sure I will do it tomorrow though.. the idea of puking on my birthday kinda makes me want to wait a bit longer..
