    I have a surgery date!

Thank you so much! I have been very blessed as this process has went smoothly, and almost to easy. The only think that could possibly delay my surgery is if I can't get my sleep study in on time!

    How to pass the time?

You are obsessed! But I am too! I am being sleeved on 3/20/15. Luckily I have so much going on before then, that I can't believe that one month from today I start my pre-op diet! I am moving at the end of this month, so that will keep me busy for awhile! Good Luck!
  12. I am pre surgery a size 20. My ultimate goal would be a 8/10 post surgery. Any smaller and I wouldn't mind either. I can't even fathom being a size that's not a double digit!
  13. Hey all! So i started my journey in January. My last appointment before I go to insurance approval is Monday! surgery is typically 5-7 weeks after approval which would make me a March sleever! So excited! Im going to be starting a YouTube vlog to document my journey in just a couple of weeks! Good luck everyone!
  14. Hey all! Long time lurker to these boards while contemplating surgery! That has all changed today! I had my initial consultation today with my surgeons office. I have to complete a fitness test, sleep study, nutrition counseling and a mental health visit before finally meeting with the surgeon! All the appointments are scheduled between today and Feb 28th! at that point we will submit for surgical approval! Everyone on this board is great and I'm looking forward to making friends to go through this journey with! I'm also thinking of making a YouTube vlog! Please don't hesitate to write if you are in a similar stage and looking for friends! Good luck everyone!

    Started my Journey today!

I will! Thanks for the interest! . I am in the process of moving and going through my pre op appointments so as soon as I'm settled I'm going to start filming!
  16. I have a mirena also, and I asked the same question at my inital visit! They Said it should be fine also!
  17. I had my inital consultation yesterday and the PA was going over the post op diet. It seemed a little extreme to me, and from what i've read- most people's aren't like this. Obviously, I will do whatever the MD tells me to do, but I was just curious to if anyone will have a similar post-op diet as I will have. Post-Op: Days 1-30: Full liquids Days 31-60: Purees Days 61-90: Soft Foods Days 90-?: Transition into regular foods.

    Post- Op Diet

Thank you for all the answers. I guess my surgeon likes to things a little different. I will of course follow his protocol, but its nice hearing other peoples experiences.

    Sleep Study

I am a terrible sleeper anyway. But I don't think it's apnea related. I hope it goes well and no cpap is needed!
  20. I've told my mom, boyfriend, 2 of my close friends at work and my bosses. I don't really want to tell a lot of people. Not because I'm ashamed, just because I don't feel like dealing with their opinions. lol
  21. I called the bariatric center and they ran my insurance for benefits, and I was seen 2 weeks later! Super easy process for me! Good luck!
